Cosrx introduces new serum for blemish-prone skin

SOUTH KOREA – Cosrx, a Korean beauty skincare brand known for its snail mucin solutions, has launched a non-sticky serum to cater to blemish-prone skin.

The Alpha-Arbutin 2 Skin Discoloration Serum is designed to help users achieve a clearer and more radiant complexion.

Cosrx emphasises that the Alpha-Arbutin 2 Skin Discoloration Serum features a powerful blend of active ingredients, providing a dermatologically tested solution suitable for sensitive skin.

The serum is enriched with madecassoside (an anti-inflammatory), tocopherol (vitamin E), Panthenol, hyaluronic acid, and allantoin to soothe the skin and support its overall health and barrier function.

This ensures low irritation and a refreshing experience suitable for all skin types and climates.

The product features potent actives, such as niacinamide, five types of hyaluronic acid, alpha arbutin, and N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG), to manage hyperpigmentation, reduce visible dark spots, and exfoliate discoloured dead skin cells for a brighter complexion.

Cosrx commented on the launch,  “As the demand for effective and gentle skin care solutions continues to rise, The Alpha-Arbutin 2 Skin Discoloration Serum offers a reliable option for individuals looking to enhance their skin’s health and appearance.

“It doesn’t sting upon application and is non-comedogenic, making it a perfect choice for acne-prone skin.”

This latest addition to Cosrx’s skincare lineup follows the successful launch of their ultimate nourishing rice overnight spa mask and centella blemish cream, both of which have received positive feedback for their hydrating, brightening, and soothing properties.

The ultimate nourishing rice overnight spa mask, enriched with over 65% rice extract, provides a radiant glow and smooth complexion, making it a staple in many skincare routines.

Similarly, the centella blemish cream, intended for treating acne and redness, contains centella asiatica extract, which calms irritated skin and reduces blemishes.

Furthermore, in December 2024, the brand expanded its award-winning Advanced Snail line with the launch of the Glass Glow Hydrogel Mask and Peptide Collagen Hydrogel Eye Patch, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in K-beauty innovation.
