Eurofragance designates Joan Pere Jiménez as CEO, effective 2026

SPAIN – Spanish fragrance house Eurofragance has announced the appointment of Joan Pere Jiménez as its new CEO.

Joan Pere Jiménez will succeed Laurent Mercier in the leadership, effective January 1, 2026.

Laurent Mercier, who has successfully led the company since 2018, will continue in his role until December 31, 2025, before transitioning to a new position on the Board of Directors in 2026.

The company emphasised that this structured succession plan, initiated in 2023, ensures continuity and stability in executing its strategic vision.

Santiago Sabatés, Charmain and Founder of Eurofragance, stated, “We are particularly pleased that the transition is being made with a person from within the company, who knows Eurofragance perfectly well and whose contribution has been decisive for delivering the results and achievements that were attained during Laurent’s tenure.”

Joan Pere Jiménez has over a decade of experience at Eurofragance, having held several key leadership positions there.

He initially joined as Chief Operations Officer and subsequently took on pivotal roles, including General Manager for the Europe, Africa, and Turkey region until 2021, followed by General Manager for Asia Pacific through 2023.

Since January 2024, he has served as Chief Market Officer, a role he will retain until the end of 2025.

Under Mercier’s leadership, Eurofragance has strengthened its global presence, consistently achieving over 20% annual growth since 2021 while maintaining double-digit profitability.

During his tenure, the company also made significant advancements in sustainability and innovation, including the development of its first proprietary fragrance ingredients.

Recently, Eurofragance announced the appointment of its first Master Perfumers: Belén Garcia, Isabel Gil Trujillo, and Olaf Larsen.

This action further underlines the company’s commitment to excellence in fragrance creation.

With perfumers boasting over thirty years of expertise in an industry driven by creativity, Eurofragance remains dedicated to fostering internal training and career advancement, ensuring its talents receive the best opportunities for professional development.

This leadership transition marks an important milestone for Eurofragance, which is continuing its growth trajectory and reinforcing its position as a key player in the global fragrance industry.
