in-cosmetics Global 2025: Sustainability Zone focuses on green beauty solutions

in-cosmetics Global’s Sustainability Zone aims to offer brands a chance to reduce environmental impact and explore sustainable solutions in the beauty industry.

NETHERLANDS – The in-cosmetics Global 2025 event in Amsterdam will feature the highly anticipated Sustainability Zone, a dedicated space designed to provide businesses with the tools to enhance their sustainability efforts.

Sponsored by AAK and in partnership with The Green Chemist Consultancy and Ecovia Intelligence, the Sustainability Zone offers a unique opportunity for brands to explore solutions that can help reduce environmental impact while promoting responsible sourcing and eco-friendly formulations.

The zone will consist of four key areas: the Forum, Display, Theatre, and Pavilion, each offering a different approach to sustainability.

The Forum, sponsored by AAK and curated by The Green Chemist Consultancy, will feature a two-day program focused on green chemistry, ethical ingredient sourcing, and regulatory compliance.

Experts will share valuable insights on minimizing environmental impact through innovative practices. A notable session, “Navigating Net Zero: Communicating with Credibility,” presented by The Carbon Trust, will help attendees learn how the beauty industry can align its practices with net-zero targets.

“The beauty industry has a major opportunity to update its practices to reduce their carbon footprint and avoid greenwashing,” said a spokesperson from The Carbon Trust.

“Our session will focus on providing actionable advice to help businesses meet sustainability goals while being transparent in their communications.”

Meanwhile, the Display area, sponsored by AAK, will highlight sustainable personal care innovations. Companies like Provital, Oleon NV, and AAK Sweden will showcase responsible sourcing initiatives and products with reduced environmental impact.

One exhibit, for example, will demonstrate the benefits of recyclable esters produced by enzymes, illustrating how sustainable materials can be used in cosmetic formulations.

The Sustainability Theatre will also provide an interactive learning platform for attendees. Expert speakers, including Dr. Barbara Olioso, Managing Director of The Green Chemist, will explore how green chemistry and eco-design can transform the beauty industry.

Dr. Olioso’s session, “Regenerative Beauty with Green Chemistry,” will delve into sustainable packaging and the circular design strategies that are reshaping the future of cosmetic products.

The Sustainability Pavilion will bring together leading sustainability experts and suppliers, offering a platform for networking and discovering new solutions in the beauty space.

Companies such as Ecovia Intelligence and Fairglow will provide insights into how to integrate sustainable practices into all stages of the supply chain.

Roziani Zulkifli, Event Director of in-cosmetics Global, emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Sustainability is an ongoing priority for the beauty industry, and it is essential that we keep pushing for new, creative solutions. This zone provides a space for brands to explore the latest ideas while preparing for future regulations.”

New Testing & Regulation Forum

In addition to the Sustainability Zone, in-cosmetics Global 2025 will debut the Testing & Regulation Forum, which will address key topics such as advancements in skin longevity and testing methods.

The forum will feature prominent experts, including Philippe Papadimitriou from Cosystems, who will discuss how cosmetics can improve skin health over time.

“The key to longevity lies in understanding how ingredients interact with the skin’s natural processes,” said Papadimitriou.

This forum is expected to provide valuable insights into how brands can enhance their formulations and meet the latest regulatory requirements.

With such a comprehensive approach to both sustainability and regulation, in-cosmetics Global 2025 promises to be an essential event for those looking to stay ahead in the evolving beauty industry.
