Celebrating excellence: in-cosmetics Global announces 2025 awards shortlist

Industry leaders and emerging innovators go head-to-head for top honors in Amsterdam.

NETHERLANDS – With just two weeks remaining until in-cosmetics Global 2025 kicks off in Amsterdam, the event has released its highly anticipated shortlist for this year’s awards.

Sponsored by Kenvue, the competition features more than 50 standout entries vying for 18 awards across seven categories.

A panel of international industry experts has carefully selected the finalists, recognizing the most impressive advancements in personal care ingredients and beauty science.

Honoring innovation and sustainability

Among the most closely watched categories is the Green Ingredient Award, which highlights companies committed to sustainability.

One of the shortlisted contenders, AAK, has earned a spot for its LIPEX® SheaLuxe TR™, a shea-based innovation aimed at improving product sustainability without compromising on performance.

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant has also made an impact with its Pickmulse™, a natural emulsifier designed for eco-conscious formulations.

Another closely followed category is the Innovation Zone Best Active Ingredient Award. This year, Givaudan Active Beauty’s DandErase™ stands out as a potential frontrunner, offering a new approach to scalp care.

Meanwhile, Mibelle Biochemistry’s PhytoCellTec™ Exosomes has been recognized for its ability to enhance skin cell communication and renewal.

“The level of creativity and expertise displayed by the finalists is truly remarkable,” said Roziani Zulkifli, Event Director of in-cosmetics Global. “Each of these products represents the latest trends in beauty and personal care, combining scientific advancements with consumer needs.”

Last year’s finalists set a high standard with innovative solutions that reshaped industry expectations. Among them, Evonik’s RHEANCE® One and Lubrizol’s Kelco-Care™ diutan gum gained attention for their advancements in gentle yet effective skincare formulations.

These ingredients set benchmarks for improved functionality and sustainability in the personal care sector. Additionally, Croda’s ChromaPur CV and ChromaPur DM were recognized for their contribution to texture and formulation stability in cosmetic applications.

These previous nominees continue to influence the market, demonstrating how competition fosters continuous improvement in personal care technology.

Recognizing rising talent

The Rising Star Award, which celebrates first-year exhibitors, features companies bringing fresh ideas to the industry. Among the shortlisted firms, Evolved By Nature has gained attention for its innovative approach to sustainable ingredients, while Gaia Tech AG has introduced promising biotech-driven solutions.

Their inclusion in the shortlist signals a growing shift toward science-backed, eco-friendly alternatives in the industry.

The Kenvue Trusted Science Award, which honors novel ingredients backed by rigorous research and ethical standards, returns this year.

Finalists include Evonik with its RHEANCE® D50, an ingredient designed to enhance skincare products with a mild, sustainable cleansing experience. CRODA Beauty’s LUCEANE ASHLEIGH is also competing for this award, demonstrating how scientific research continues to push beauty innovations forward.

Anticipation builds for the awards ceremony

With the competition heating up, industry professionals are eagerly awaiting the awards ceremony, scheduled for April 8 at the RAI in Amsterdam. The event will not only honor ingredient innovations but also recognize achievements in sustainable exhibition design.

The Sustainable Stand Award winners will be announced onsite, acknowledging exhibitors who have successfully reduced their environmental impact.

“We invite everyone to join us at the awards ceremony for what promises to be an exciting evening celebrating the biggest achievements in the industry over the past year,” added Zulkifli.

Attendees can also look forward to the Make-up and Sensory Bar judging, where experts will showcase the latest developments in color cosmetics and fragrances.
