Unilever, World Rugby partner to champion personal care in Rugby World Cups

These partnerships allow Unilever to showcase its brands globally and reinforce its commitment to promoting sports.

UK – Unilever, a British multinational Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, has teamed up with World Rugby as the official supporters for several major tournaments, including the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.

As part of the agreement, Unilever’s Personal Care Power Brands, which include Dove, Dove Men+Care, Rexona (known as Sure), and Axe (also called Lynx), will launch integrated campaigns designed to engage fans and athletes.

These campaigns aim to target a rapidly growing audience, enhancing visibility and breaking barriers in the sport.

Fabian Garcia, Personal Care President at Unilever, stated, “Our long-term investment in sport goes beyond sponsorship – it’s about making a lasting impact, bringing our brands closer to passionate fans and deepening our connection with consumers globally.”

“We look forward to activating our power brands to enhance the fan experience, boost visibility, break barriers, and inspire the next generation of athletes.”

Dove offers a range of personal care products, including body washes, lotions, deodorants, hair care products, bar soaps, and baby care items, designed to provide nourishment and promote confidence for all.

Dove Men+Care offers a range of personal care products, such as body washes, bar soaps, deodorants, shampoos, conditioners, face care items, and body sprays, all designed to provide men comfort, care, and confidence.

Rexona, known as Sure in some regions, offers deodorants and antiperspirants, including sprays, roll-ons, sticks, and creams, designed to provide long-lasting protection against sweat and odor while promoting confidence and active lifestyles.

Axe, also known as Lynx, offers a variety of personal care products, including deodorants, body sprays, shower gels, and hair care items.

According to Unilever, these products are designed to provide bold freshness and youthful energy with distinctive fragrances.

Recently, Unilever established high-profile sponsorships with major events, including the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™, FIFA World Cup 2026™, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, and the CONMEBOL Copa América.

In addition, Unilever’s personal care brands, including Dove and Rexona, have been named Official Sponsors of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

Through these collaborations, Unilever strengthens its market presence while reinforcing its commitment to positively impacting the world of sports.

Meanwhile, Unilever has acquired Wild, a refillable personal care brand based in the UK.

The acquisition aligns with Unilever’s Growth Action Plan 2030, which focuses on expanding into premium and sustainable markets.
