Persán expands global footprint with acquisition of Mibelle Group from Migros

SWITZERLAND – Persán, the Seville-based multinational leader in home care and personal hygiene products, has acquired Mibelle Group, a Swiss company specializing in personal care, beauty, home care, and nutrition, from Swiss retailer Migros.

Migros chose to divest the Mibelle Group to concentrate on its core supermarket business and local operations within Switzerland.

The merged company is anticipated to generate more than €1 billion (US 1.08 billion) in total revenue.

Persán will assume control of all Mibelle Group employees and facilities across Switzerland, France, the UK, the Netherlands, the US, and Australia. 

However, the deal excludes Mibelle Group’s South Korean subsidiary, Gowoonsesang Cosmetics, which was acquired by L’Oréal last year.

Antonio Somé, Persán’s CEO, stated, “The acquisition of the Mibelle Group will allow us to access new technologically advanced categories and continue to develop innovative and high-quality products for all our customers.”

Migros’ private label brands, including Handy, I Am, and Zoé, which the Mibelle Group produces, will continue to be available in its stores. 

Migros and the Mibelle Group have established long-term supply agreements for the Home Care, Personal Care, and Nutrition segments, ensuring the Mibelle Group remains a key strategic supplier for Migros.

The terms of the sale, including the price, have not been disclosed by the involved parties.

Mibelle Group specializes in personal care, beauty, home care, nutrition, and developing active ingredients for the cosmetics and nutraceutical industries. 

The Mibelle Group recently revealed scientific data highlighting the benefits of MintyBright™ NU, an active ingredient derived from apple mint leaves. 

This ingredient is Rich in flavonoids and shows strong antioxidative properties and can regulate melanin production.

Clinical trials demonstrated visible skin brightness, evenness, and tone improvements over 84 days.
