Chanel expands footprint in India with Nykaa partnership

Chanel will offer its Fragrance & Beauty products through Nykaa Luxe stores and Nykaa’s online platform.

INDIA – Chanel, a French luxury fashion house, has expanded its presence in India through a strategic partnership with Nykaa, an Indian beauty retailer.

This collaboration brings Chanel’s Fragrance & Beauty line to Nykaa Luxe stores in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh and Nykaa’s online platform, making luxury beauty products more accessible to Indian consumers.

However, the brand plans to expand its footprint to over 10 Luxe locations across India by the end of 2025, further strengthening its presence in the market.

Anchit Nayar, Executive Director and CEO of Nykaa Beauty, added, “We take immense pride in partnering with the Maison to launch Chanel Fragrance & Beauty in India for the first time on our luxury beauty platform.”

“This is a milestone moment for Indian consumers and the evolving premium beauty segment.”

This move aligns with Chanel’s long-term vision to tap into India’s growing luxury beauty market, leveraging Nykaa’s strong consumer base and digital-first approach.

Chanel maintains its signature luxury ethos, offering eco-friendly packaging and complimentary product samples.

Recently, Chanel unveiled Chance Eau Splendide, its first new fragrance in eight years, marking a significant expansion of its Chance collection.

The perfume introduces a fruity-floral composition, with raspberry as a key note, blended harmoniously with rose, violet, iris, and geranium, all grounded in a cedar-musk base for a warm, sophisticated finish.

The fragrance debuted with Belgian singer-songwriter Angèle as the face of the campaign, embodying its youthful, vibrant essence.

Chanel has also rolled out immersive pop-up experiences, such as its ‘Chance Street’ installation in London and Los Angeles, allowing consumers to explore the scent in a curated, interactive environment.

Chanel offers a wide range of luxury products, spanning fashion, beauty, fragrance, watches, and fine jewellery.

In beauty, Chanel provides high-end makeup, skincare, and hair care, with standout products like the Les Beiges bronzing cream, Sublimage skincare line, and Camélia Futura makeup collection.

The brand’s fragrance portfolio includes timeless scents such as Chanel No. 5, Chance Eau Tendre, and the newly launched Chance Eau Splendide.

Despite being a luxury brand, Chanel is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, focusing on low-carbon solutions, regenerative practices, and industry collaboration.
