Nouryon secures EcoVadis Gold for sustainability leadership

This marks the fourth consecutive year Nouryon has received this recognition.

NETHERLANDS – Nouryon, a global speciality chemicals leader, has earned a 2025 Gold rating from EcoVadis for its sustainability and corporate social responsibility efforts, marking the fourth consecutive year it has received this recognition. 

The achievement places Nouryon among the top 3% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis and within the top 2% of firms in the chemicals sector.

Nouryon is committed to cutting its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 from 2019 levels, with a long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The EcoVadis evaluation considers four key pillars: environment, ethics, labour & human rights, and sustainable procurement, drawing insights from over 150,000 companies across 185+ countries. 

Nouryon’s continued success in this assessment highlights its dedication to sustainability initiatives, particularly its goal of reducing Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030, with a broader commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Nouryon unveils AI-powered device to revolutionize personal care formulation

Nouryon recently introduced BeautyCreations, an AI-powered formulation discovery tool poised to revolutionize personal care product development. 

This device was launched at in-cosmetics Global 2025, which took place in Amsterdam in April 8-10. 

This tool is designed to streamline the formulation process by providing intelligent recommendations for hair and skin care products.

Powered by Albert Invent, BeautyCreations allows formulators to use natural language to describe their requirements, enabling precise and tailored solutions.

According to the company, the AI is specifically trained in personal care formulation chemistry, ensuring relevant suggestions from Nouryon’s extensive portfolio of formulations.

By integrating AI with its expertise in specialty chemicals, Nouryon aims to enhance collaboration between suppliers and formulators in the beauty industry.
