SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi German Nonwoven(SGN), a manufacturer of non-woven materials intended for hygiene applications, has opened its Rabigh facility, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to premium nonwoven production.
The grand opening event, held in Saudi Arabia’s Western Province, showcased SGN’s latest technological advancements, including the introduction of line no. 5, powered by Reicofil 5 technology.
The newly commissioned R5 Spunmelt line enhances SGN’s ability to produce sustainable and high-performance nonwoven products, aligning with the company’s long-term vision of innovation and market leadership.
Initially, the company had announced its Rabigh expansion in 2023, positioning the investment as a strategic move to strengthen its global footprint and elevate its role as a premium supplier in the nonwoven sector.
As part of the launch, the company introduced Sofina, SGN’s newly launched brand of spunbond nonwovens, designed to meet evolving market demands.
SGN’s Sofina brand features three tiers: Sofina Essence offers premium materials with a focus on softness and comfort, Sofina represents high-performance nonwoven solutions, and Sofina Royale stands as the pinnacle of quality and elegance in the industry.
