USA – Unilever has officially inaugurated its new U.S. headquarters at the Waterfront Corporate Centre in Hoboken, New Jersey, marking a significant milestone in its strategic transformation.
Spanning 111,000 square feet across three floors, the newly designed space accommodates more than 1,100 employees from various business units and corporate functions.
The headquarters is tailored to support hybrid work models, offering dynamic collaboration zones, immersive innovation hubs, and cutting-edge meeting technology.
The design, developed in partnership with the global architecture firm Perkins & Will, integrates biophilic elements to maximize natural light, alongside wellness spaces and mother’s rooms to enhance the employee experience.
Herrish Patel, President of Unilever USA and CEO of Personal Care North America, stated, “We are proud to celebrate our new home in Hoboken officially.”
“This is a monumental milestone for Unilever USA, and this state-of-the-art workplace supports modern ways of working, while bringing people together in a way that is dynamic and inspires creativity.”
“The design supports the innovation and energy behind Unilever’s largest market and one of the key anchor markets for future growth for the company globally.”
The facility features a professional kitchen for Unilever Food Solutions, where chefs are set to craft recipes using iconic brands such as Knorr and Hellmann’s.
In addition, a full-service salon powered by beauty brands like Dove, TRESemmé, and Nexxus provides a space for employees and customers to engage with Unilever’s innovations firsthand.
The penthouse level houses a town hall and multipurpose event space, fostering unity and collaboration among teams and partners.
The headquarters incorporates LED lighting, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and low-flow water fixtures, all designed to reduce energy and water consumption.

This move comes after Unilever recently announced its plan to invest £80 million(USD 103 million) in enhancing its fragrance research and development capabilities in the UK, unveiling plans for a state-of-the-art fragrance innovation hub in Port Sunlight, England.
This strategic move aims to enhance fragrance development across Unilever’s home care, personal care and beauty & wellbeing brands, including Dove, Persil, Rexona (known as Sure in the UK), and TRESemmé.
The new facility will feature a Fragrance Research & Innovation Lab, a compounding unit for blending and refining scents, and evaluation suites where fragrances will be tested for performance and consumer appeal.
