USA – Kruger Products Inc., a major North American manufacturer of tissue products, has announced a significant investment of approximately USD 35 million in its Memphis facility.
The funding will be directed toward installing a new, advanced tissue converting line dedicated to producing bathroom tissue and paper towels.
This development is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand operational capacity and reinforce its position within the U.S. market.
According to the company, this project will be conducted by Kruger’s U.S. subsidiary, K.T.G. (USA) Inc., at the Memphis site, which already serves as a pivotal hub for manufacturing household and commercial tissue products.
The installation of the new line is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2026, creating approximately 20 new jobs.
Utilizing the latest technology in tissue converting, the new line will enable Kruger Products to produce a broader range of high-quality tissue products for customers, including offerings under the White Cloud brand.
This move is aligned with the company’s broader strategy of reinvesting in its key U.S. sites to boost efficiency and address growing demand from its North American customer base.
Gordon Goss, Senior Vice President and General Manager for the U.S. and Mexico Consumer Business at Kruger Products, stated, “With the latest technology, this new converting line will allow us to expand our capacity and produce a wide range of high-quality tissue products for our customers and our White Cloud brand.”
“This new line is also part of our plan to reinvest and refocus our Memphis site on driving efficiency for our growing U.S. business.”
The expansion demonstrates Kruger Products’ commitment to both innovation and sustainability, as the company continues to operate multiple FSC-certified plants across North America.
This move follows Kruger’s recent unveiling of its new Light Dry Crepe (LDC) tissue plant in Sherbrooke, Québec, a landmark development in its nearly USD 1 billion investment strategy to establish a premier tissue manufacturing hub in North America.
The facility, built adjacent to Kruger’s existing TAD plant, is part of a USD 377.5 million expansion project that includes a double-wide tissue machine featuring advanced LDC technology and two new converting lines—one for facial tissue and another for bathroom tissue.
The new plant has a production capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes and has boosted the total annual production to over 130,000 metric tonnes.
