Quadpack teams up with Idony Cosmetics for sustainable packaging

This collaboration reflects Idony’s commitment to sustainability and authenticity in beauty.

GERMANY – Spanish online beauty start-up Idony Cosmetics has partnered with Quadpack to provide its sustainable packaging, specifically the 4.5 mL Gala dip-in pack for lip tint, bronzer, and blush products.

These packaging units are made entirely of recyclable monomaterial PET and decorated to deliver a premium appearance while being tailored to each formulation’s needs.

Two specialized applicators were developed to complement the product formulas and enhance the user experience.

The bronzer and blush use “The Essential” applicator, featuring a round-tipped spatula with dual reservoirs to hold ample product, allowing smooth and gentle application without redipping.

The lip tint uses “The Irresistible” applicator, a spoon-shaped design suited for richly pigmented lip oils and tints, equipped with a custom wiper that controls product loading precisely.

CEO Marta Domínguez emphasized that meeting all these criteria was challenging, but she appreciated that Quadpack, located nearby, offered a solution that matched their values and needs.

Marta stated, “It was not easy, as we had a long list of criteria: high-quality design, outstanding functionality, recyclability, and versatile customization options.”

‘We found Quadpack right on our doorstep, a leading provider in the beauty sector with a strong focus on sustainability.”

Idony Cosmetics, a vegan and cruelty-free brand inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle, prioritized high-quality design, functionality, recyclability, and customizable options in its packaging selection, a challenging combination that Quadpack was able to fulfil locally with a strong commitment to sustainability.

The packaging maintains cohesion across the different products, presenting clear bottles with a subtle frosted finish for bronzer and blush to highlight the product while adding a touch of luxury.

In contrast, the lip tint bottles are opaque to protect light-sensitive ingredients, matching the pale cream colour of the caps and with Idony’s branding screen-printed on each pack.

Quadpack worked closely with Idony and its filling partners throughout the development process, supplying testing samples and assisting in navigating the sustainability aspects and packaging options.

This move comes after Quadpack recently unveiled an advancement in sustainable beauty solutions, introducing new injection-moulding technology at its Kierspe, Germany, facility to produce monomaterial PET lip gloss bottles.

The investment enhances the company’s ability to deliver eco-friendly packaging tailored for high-alkane content formulations, addressing a critical market need.
