Evident Ingredients expands with new subsidiary in Paris 

FRANCE – German personal care ingredient supplier Evident Ingredients has recently established a subsidiary in Paris, France, marking a significant step in its expansion to serve the French market and accelerate growth directly. 

The Paris office places the company at the heart of France, enabling closer and more direct engagement with French producers and customers. 

The subsidiary offers two well-established product lines tailored to meet the evolving needs of French personal care manufacturers: the Evicide range of natural and modern preservatives, and the Evicare collection of functional ingredients, including emulsifiers, thickeners, antioxidants, film-forming agents, and actives. 

The move follows five years of successful operations by the mother company in Germany, and the direct presence in France is expected to enhance sales and operational efficiencies. 

In addition, Bettina Houy, with 20 years of experience in the personal care industry and a strong background in organic chemistry and perfumery, has been appointed Managing Director to oversee operations and sales. 

She emphasised the importance of the expansion, stating, “The two product lines perfectly fit into the modern requirements of French producers.”

“With the Evicide line, we are focusing on a wide range of natural and modern preservatives, whereas the Evicare range covers functional ingredients like emulsifiers, thickeners, antioxidants, film-forming agents and actives.”

Bettina brings two decades of expertise in the personal care industry, including experience in R&D, international sales, and management roles at leading companies like Alban Muller and Unipex/Barentz.

Fernando Ibarra, president of Evident Ingredients France and CEO of the parent company, highlighted the need for the new appointment, stating, “The start of a direct presence in France with Bettina as a well-known and experienced managing director will accelerate the growth of our company’s success with our well-established product lines.”

Evident Ingredients specializes in advanced raw materials for the cosmetics and personal care industry. 

Their product portfolio includes multifunctional ingredients such as natural preservatives (e.g., Evicide® cassia and Evicide® GMCY), oil thickeners (like Evicare® lipotex), emulsifiers (Evicare® GSC pof), and antioxidant-rich tocopherols for skin and product protection2. 

These ingredients are designed to enhance moisturising, anti-ageing, conditioning, and soothing properties while supporting sustainable and ethical formulation practices.
