L’Oréal strengthens its leadership team with key executive appointments

This executive realignment reflects L’Oréal’s forward-looking approach to maintaining industry leadership.

USA – L’Oréal has announced a major reshuffle within its Executive Committee, bringing new leadership roles into sharp focus as part of its growth strategy effective January 1, 2026, with transitions commencing from October 1, 2025.

This pivotal executive reorganization highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence and leadership in key markets, particularly the United States, which remains L’Oréal’s largest and most critical growth engine.

L’Oréal Group CEO Nicolas Hieronimus praised the incoming leaders for their visionary contributions and expertise, emphasizing that the new Chairman role for L’Oréal USA signals the strategic importance of the American market for the company’s long-term success.

David Greenberg, a veteran leader with over 32 years at L’Oréal, has been appointed to the newly created role of Chairman of L’Oréal USA.

Under his leadership, the L’Oréal Luxe division rose to the top spot in the U.S., and the North America zone surpassed €10 billion(USD 11.87 billion) in sales for the first time in 2022.

Taking over from Greenberg, Alexis Perakis-Valat will become the CEO of L’Oréal USA and President of North America. Currently President of the Consumer Products Division, Perakis-Valat has been instrumental in L’Oréal’s global success since joining the company in 1994.

During his tenure, the Consumer Products Division expanded its reach to more than one billion consumers worldwide, with sales increasing from €12 billion (USD 14.16 billion) to €16 billion (USD 18.9 billion), while also improving profitability and brand investment.

Fabrice Megarbane is set to succeed Perakis-Valat as President of the Consumer Products Division.

With 24 years of experience at L’Oréal, including leadership of the North Asia zone and a previous role as Chief Global Growth Officer, Megarbane has played a key role in accelerating e-commerce efforts and spearheading the Group’s digital and sustainable transformation initiatives.

Vianney Derville has been appointed Chief Growth Officer, tasked with driving L’Oréal’s ongoing growth and transformation projects that leverage AI and advanced market insights.

Emmanuel Goulin, formerly President of Travel Retail, will become President of Europe, recognized for his role in innovating the travel retail experience post-pandemic.

New leadership additions include Eva Yu joining the Extended Executive Committee to broaden governance expertise.

This executive realignment reflects L’Oréal’s forward-looking approach to maintaining industry leadership, capitalizing on global market opportunities, and enhancing innovation and operational excellence as it advances into the future of beauty.
