L’Oréal Egypt marks a decade of skin & hair science with 10th annual summit

The summit highlights L’Oréal Egypt’s sustained commitment to advancing dermatological science, education, and social responsibility in Egypt and the wider region.

EGYPT – L’Oréal Egypt has hosted the 10th edition of its annual “Skin & Hair Summit 2025,” a flagship event that gathers leading dermatologists, trichologists, pharmacists, and industry experts to discuss the latest innovations and research in skin and hair health.

The summit emphasized three core pillars: science, empowerment through education, and social impact.

The summit sessions covered a range of dermatological topics, including acne, hyperpigmentation, hair transplantation, atopic dermatitis, and eczema, blending scientific guidelines with practical clinical applications.

Workshops and panel discussions were held, including the third edition of the “E-Derms Academy,” which aims to equip dermatologists with skills to create responsible medical content on digital platforms.

There was also strong engagement with retailers and pharmacists focusing on sustainability, improving consumer experience, and developing complementary therapeutic education.

Mohamed El Araby, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt, stated, “Our purpose at L’Oréal is sharp: ‘Create the Beauty that Moves the World.”

“This event represents both a responsibility and an excellent opportunity to empower the dermo-medical community, advance skin health, and continue driving tangible, positive change for patients, society and the beauty industry.”

During a press roundtable held alongside the summit, L’Oréal Egypt reiterated its commitment to advancing the beauty sector and dermatological care in Egypt.

The company announced the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Egyptian Healthcare Authority to enhance the quality and accessibility of dermatological services nationwide.

A significant highlight was the launch of a specialized dermatology and oncology unit at the Baheya Foundation, developed through a partnership with La Roche-Posay under the “Fight With Care” program, led by Professor Dr. Rehab Hegazy.

This unit aims to provide comprehensive support to cancer patients during their treatment journey.

Sandrine Japhet-Sibboni, General Manager of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Egypt, reinforced that science remains at the core of L’Oréal’s innovation strategy, with a focus on making advanced dermatological solutions accessible and supporting specialized healthcare in Egypt.

The event is accredited by the American Academy of Continuous Medical Education (AACME), offering attendees valuable continuing medical education credits.

Since its inception in 2016 with 250 attendees, the summit has grown significantly, now attracting over 800 participants from top Egyptian universities and medical institutions, as well as international speakers, solidifying its importance in Egypt and the MENA region.
