Cosmogen supplies Horace with sustainable stick for men’s cosmetics

This collaboration builds on Cosmogen’s reputation for responsible innovation, as seen in their French legal status as a Société à mission.

FRANCE – Cosmogen has provided the men’s skincare brand Horace with an innovative post-consumer recycled (PCR) PET stick packaging for its latest lip balm, reflecting a significant step in sustainable beauty packaging.

This PCR PET stick combines technical performance with style and is part of Cosmogen’s customizable range of monomaterial PET and recycled PET (rPET) formats designed for wax-based and anhydrous formulas such as lipsticks, lip balms, concealers, and sunscreens.

The packaging is black with selective varnishing, holds 3.7 g, and is available in multiple shapes and sizes to cater to various product needs.

Horace’s choice of Cosmogen’s 100% PCR PET stick underscores the brand’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices, aligning with a broader initiative to develop sustainable packaging solutions for cosmetics.

Cosmogen’s CSR-driven approach ensures that their products adhere to the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling, creating packaging that is recyclable, refillable, and made from recycled materials.

In addition, Cosmogen supports its innovation through eco-design training and the use of in-house life cycle analysis software to minimize environmental impact.

This collaboration builds on Cosmogen’s reputation for responsible innovation, as evidenced by its French legal status as a Société à mission, which endorses safe and sustainable beauty innovation that respects both people and the environment.

Beyond the lip balm stick, Cosmogen’s portfolio includes compacts, brushes, and kabuki applicators made from PET or rPET, enabling cosmetics brands to maintain coherence in their sustainable product lines.

Horace had previously used Cosmogen’s patented Tense tube with a metallic applicator for its Hydrating Eye Contour, emphasizing the tube’s reusability and refillability.

This strategic partnership between Cosmogen and Horace highlights a growing trend in the beauty industry towards sustainable packaging that does not compromise on luxury, aesthetics, or functional performance, setting a new standard for eco-conscious cosmetic packaging innovation.

Cosmogen recently introduced a sleek aluminium brush set and a revamped ReUse makeup refill stick during the Luxe Pack New York 2025.

The aluminium brush set is a compact, on-the-go collection featuring four professional-grade brushes tailored for makeup application and touch-ups.

Each brush is crafted with a gold-colored aluminium handle and notably omits the traditional ferrule, streamlining the design for both aesthetics and recyclability.

The set includes a foundation brush engineered for flawless coverage, a blush brush with a bevelled tuft for precise colour application, a concealer brush shaped to mimic fingertip blending, and a powder brush designed to evenly distribute bronzer or setting powder.

Complementing the brush set is the ReUse stick, a watertight, reloadable applicator originally made from monomaterial polypropylene.
