SPAIN – Cosmewax, a Spanish cosmetics manufacturer, has opened a state-of-the-art cosmetics manufacturing plant in Puçol, near Valencia, Spain, significantly boosting its production capacity to 7,000 tonnes per year.
The new facility spans 5,100 square meters and is equipped with 11 reactors and 5 filling lines, enhancing production efficiency and enabling real-time defect detection through advanced AI, machine vision, and digital systems.
This technology-driven factory combines sustainability with operational excellence, featuring energy-efficient processes, onsite osmotized water production to reduce chemical use and emissions, photovoltaic panels, and circular recycling practices.
The plant incorporates advanced dosing, labeling, and handling areas with automated controls and granular traceability, enabling agile format changes while maintaining high international standards.
The R&D and Quality Laboratory hosts over 20 specialized technicians working on innovative cosmetic formulas, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
Supporting logistics includes a purpose-built warehouse with temperature-controlled and raw-material rooms, as well as large dispatch areas, facilitating swift fulfillment for major international clients such as Superdrug, Rossmann, and Boots.
The company reported €34.6 million (USD 39.87 million) in revenue in 2024, primarily from exports, and projects €38 million (USD 43.78 million) for 2025.
The new Valencia plant has already earned certifications, including ISO 22716 for good manufacturing practices, SMETA for ethical trade audits, and RSPO for sustainable palm oil.
This expansion not only significantly enhances production but also underlines Cosmewax’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and meeting growing global demand in the cosmetics industry.
Cosmewax, with over 100 clients worldwide, operates across skin care, waterless cosmetics, and hair removal product lines.
Its skincare range includes facial creams, serums, cleansers, and body lotions, while its hair removal line features wax strips, depilatory creams, and post-care treatments.
The company also develops solid cosmetics and custom formulations for third-party brands, backed by robust R&D and sustainability practices.
