It is set to expand to other LAC markets with additional financial partners.

USA – Mastercard and L’Oréal have launched the L’Oréal Mastercard BusinessCard, a specialized financial product designed to empower beauty entrepreneurs and professionals, with an initial focus on the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.
The card is available for salon owners, independent stylists, beauty creators, and distributors within L’Oréal’s professional network in Mexico, issued through Clara, a leading Latin American spend management platform.
This initiative aims to advance financial inclusion and fuel small business growth by streamlining the credit-decisioning process, which traditionally involved time-consuming in-person applications and lengthy approval steps, making it easier for beauty professionals to access financial tools and focus on their businesses.
Cardholders benefit from discounts and reward points on salon products purchased through L’Oréal’s network, a USD 150 welcome bonus on initial inventory purchases, and the ability to accumulate points on other salon expenses such as utilities and insurance, even for purchases outside L’Oréal’s ecosystem.
The card also offers access to L’Oréal Academy trainings, hands-on workshops, industry events, and exclusive educational opportunities, helping professionals build skills and expand their networks.
In addition, the card is embedded into L’Oréal’s new B2B marketplace, providing a one-stop shop for managing inventory, making payments, and accessing professional resources, while also granting free access to Clara’s digital expense management platform for easier reconciliation and reduced financial risk.
This partnership is not only about providing a financial tool but also about creating pathways for beauty entrepreneurs to invest in their craft, grow their businesses, and thrive in the digital economy.
Stéphanie Speeckaert, Latin America VP for the Professional Products Division of L’Oréal, stated, “At L’Oréal, we recognize that beauty professionals are the heart of our industry — they are artists, entrepreneurs, and dream builders who transform lives every day.”
“Through this partnership with Mastercard, we’re not just offering a card — we’re opening doors to L’Oréal Academy trainings, exclusive educational opportunities, and the financial flexibility that will empower beauty professionals across Latin America to invest in their craft, grow their businesses, and thrive in the digital economy.”
Mark Barnett, Mastercard’s Global Head of Small and Medium Enterprises, highlighted the company’s commitment to integrating SMEs into the digital economy and turning everyday purchases into opportunities to build credit, earn rewards, and unlock digital solutions.
Together, Mastercard, L’Oréal, and Clara are breaking down barriers for small businesses, turning financial access into a driver of growth and inclusion across the region.
