Amara expands product portfolio with new line of OUD-infused body lotions

The launch reflects Haco’s commitment to local innovation and African integration.

KENYA – HACO Industries has unveiled its new Amara OUD Body Lotion, including the OUD ROYALE & NOIR collection, introducing a daily ritual designed for deep hydration and a commanding presence.

The products are infused with rich oud oils, including Frankincense, Geranium, and Artemisia, which are crafted to deliver intense moisture and lasting hydration for the skin.

This range is positioned as more than just a skincare solution; it’s a transformative grooming experience meant to empower users, instil confidence, and elevate everyday routines into moments of self-expression and elegance.

The launch taps into the everyday skincare rituals of Kenyan consumers, meeting demand for affordable yet effective body lotions in a crowded, fast‑moving market.

The launch comes after HACO Industries recently unveiled a new chapter for its flagship skincare brand, Amara.

The brand now features Vitamin N, a potent fusion of natural oils formulated to deeply nourish, moisturize, and rejuvenate the skin, enhancing its natural radiance.

The revamped Amara product line features lotions, glycerine, deodorants, shower gels, and handwash, all formulated with premium natural ingredients to enhance daily skincare routines.

The new formulations are enriched with a blend of locally and regionally sourced oils, including coconut, cocoa butter, aloe vera, jojoba, argan, moringa, avocado, baobab, macadamia, and shea butter.

Meanwhile, Amara took home the Best Skin Care Cosmetic honour during the People’s Choice Awards 2025 in Uganda.

In 2025, Haco Industries made headlines for its commitment to sustainability, notably by adopting solar power for its manufacturing facilities.

The company unveiled a solar PV system that powers its plastics factory, reducing energy costs by around 54% and significantly lowering its carbon footprint.

The company plans to expand solar adoption to its cosmetics factory and invest in power storage solutions for further environmental impact reduction.

This move aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 12, emphasizing responsible consumption and production.

In addition, Haco Industries recently partnered with Murang’a County and Progreen Innovations to advance circular waste management.

The collaboration aims to transform waste into value, setting a precedent for responsible post-production practices in the FMCG sector.
