UK – Anya Hindmarch has partnered with Boots UK to launch a 1970s-inspired pop-up store at The Village Hall on London’s Pont Street, evoking the retailer’s pharmacy heritage through retro design and exclusive products.
This collaboration transforms the space into a vibrant tribute to Boots’ history, blending everyday essentials with playful aesthetics.
The exterior mimics classic apothecaries, using Boots’ signature blue-and-white colours, arched wooden windows, and 1970s signage featuring bottles and boxes.
Internally, it recreates the look of vintage Boots shops with retro tiling, white coats, and dispensary-style packaging, while displaying artefacts from the company’s extensive archive.
Anya Hindmarch stated, “This is a truly iconic collaboration for me – boots are part of the very fabric of the UK.”
“The chance to play with, and ‘Anya-ise’ everyday toiletry essentials has been the most fun project.”
Visitors can purchase a limited-edition Anya Hindmarch x Boots range of bathroom items, featuring eye-adorned lotions and potions that merge Boots’ reliability with Hindmarch’s whimsical touch.
Additional items include two archive-inspired wash bags named First Aid and Meds, redesigned Anya Brands packaging for products like Berocca, Advil, BAND-AID®, Imperial Leather, and Nurofen, plus a special blue-and-white Universal Bag duo.
Post-pop-up, the essentials collection launches exclusively online at boots.com from March 8, 2026, for a limited period, while the large Universal Bag appears in select stores and online, subject to stock.
Meanwhile, late last year, Boots teamed up with Growth Studio to introduce the Breakout Beauty accelerator program, aimed at propelling promising UK beauty startups toward global prominence.
This initiative targets innovative founders creating products like gender-neutral deodorants, culturally inspired skincare, and heritage-infused brands.
The six-week program equips 10 selected finalists with elite mentorship, investment advice, retail collaboration opportunities, specialized workshops, and proven business growth strategies from Growth Studio.
Headline sponsors include Boots, TikTok Shop, HSBC Innovation Banking, and FDD International, with additional backing from Bird & Bird, the British Beauty Council, and Venrex.
A culminating pitch event awards two grand prizes totalling over £350,000, featuring 12-month online listings on boots.com, in-store displays in 10 major Boots locations, expert consultations, event space at the new Boots Beauty store in Battersea Power Station, plus PR and marketing aid.
