Syensqo appoints Mike Radossich as new Chief Executive Officer

The appointment is part of a previously signposted leadership transition plan announced in September 2025.

BELGIUM –  Syensqo has confirmed that Mike Radossich has formally taken over as CEO and joined the company’s Board of Directors, with his appointment taking effect on January 1, 2026.

He steps into the top role following the tenure of Dr Ilham Kadri, who will remain in a special advisory capacity to provide continuity and help manage a smooth handover of responsibilities.

The company characterizes Radossich as a long‑serving executive with deep familiarity with Syensqo’s global operations and extensive experience running businesses across the organization.

The company also noted that he is expected to steer the next phase of the speciality materials group’s development, emphasizing long‑term performance, sustainable growth and value creation for stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Syensqo’s Moerdijk plant in the Netherlands has achieved ISCC PLUS mass-balance certification for producing bio-circular Rhodasurf® laundry surfactants, enabling scalable use of lower-carbon, 100% natural-origin materials.

The ISCC PLUS certification validates a third-party-verified chain-of-custody system that tracks bio-circular ethoxylate feedstocks through the plant’s on-pipe ethoxylation facilities.

This mass-balance approach allocates bio-circular raw materials along the ethylene oxide value chain without altering existing production processes.

It confirms traceability from sourcing to output, supporting transparent sustainability claims for downstream users.

Max Chabert, Syensqo’s Global Marketing Manager for Home Care, noted that the certification accelerates sustainability in laundry formulation using existing infrastructure.

It expands Syensqo’s bio-circular portfolio for home care, helping brands meet environmental demands.

The milestone, announced in December 2025, aligns with growing regulatory and consumer pressures for verified low-carbon ingredients in personal care and laundry sectors.

Starting January 2026, Syensqo supplies certified laureth-7 under the Rhodasurf® B7 UP grade for liquid laundry detergents.

The surfactants offer a drop-in solution with reduced CO₂ footprint while maintaining performance, reliability, and supply security.

This addresses key challenges for FMCG companies and private labels seeking industrial-scale natural surfactants.

In addition, Syensqo recently introduced Miracare Biopacify, a biodegradable opacifier designed to replace synthetic styrene acrylates in liquid laundry detergents and related applications.

This development marks a significant stride toward cleaner formulations as the industry prepares for the European Union’s 2027 ban on intentionally added microplastics in consumer products.
