Boots transforms in-store experience with specialist-led wellness zones 

This move reflects a bold move to elevate retail into a holistic health and wellness destination.

UK – Boots has launched Wellness Zones in select stores to help customers navigate the expanding wellness category with greater confidence. 

This initiative pairs dedicated in-store areas with trained Health & Wellness Specialists to respond to rising demand among beauty consumers who view wellness as integral to daily routines.

The Wellness Zones debuted in six major stores, including Dartford Bluewater Park, Manchester Trafford Centre, Newcastle Eldon, London White City, Sheffield Meadowhall, and Dublin Liffey Valley, curating trusted products across gut health, nutrition, hydration, sleep, movement, and beauty from within.

New wellness training reached over 500 specialists in 140 stores nationwide, equipping them to deliver personalized advice on trends, ingredients, and routines tailored to individual goals like stress relief or hormonal balance.

A pick-and-mix taster selection from brands such as Humantra, Zooki, and DIRTEA lets shoppers easily sample flavours and ingredients.

Kirsty Thorley-Mitchell, Head of Wellness at Boots, stated, “Our unique training provides education on trends, ingredients and routines so we can help to guide customers on the right products and routines for them.”

“Our new Wellness Zones offer customers the opportunity to access expert and personalised advice from their local high street, aligning with increased demand from customers, particularly those who are cross-category shopping from health and beauty.”  

Boots’ research shows 40% of beauty buyers consider wellness essential daily, with 58% of Gen Z and millennials tying New Year’s resolutions to health goals.​
Complementing the zones, Boots added 12 new brands, including Loop, Perfect Ted, Nourished, and Mirror Water, plus over 140 wellness lines, building on the 750+ introduced last year.

Exclusive bundles target sleep, energy, skin glow, and gut health at discounted prices, while the new own-brand Wellthy by Boots offers electrolytes for radiant skin, focus, rest, and immunity.

Meanwhile, earlier last year, Boots unveiled HABI, a wellness brand focused on promoting good habits over hype. 

The range kicks off with 15 gummy supplements, designed to support various wellness needs, whether it’s boosting energy, finding calm, or enhancing beauty from the inside out. 

These supplements feature trending ingredients like Sea Moss and Lion’s Mane, alongside essentials like Vitamin D and Magnesium.
