The launch follows rigorous testing by dermatologists and gynaecologists for safety and effectiveness.

USA – Gillette Venus has broadened its product lineup with a pioneering pubic shaving regimen, the first to receive dermatological endorsement from the Skin Health Alliance.
This upgraded collection builds on the brand’s 2021 launch of pubic hair and skin care solutions, targeting the unique challenges of grooming in this sensitive area where 80% of women rely on razors yet 95% face issues like itching, irritation, bumps, or unsuitable products.
The regimen addresses the pubic region’s distinct traits, thicker, denser, multi-directional hair growth amid thinner, curved skin, through specialized innovations that reduce irritation.
Key features of the upgraded Venus Pubic Hair & Skin Razor include a CalmCurve handle with enhanced TrustGrip for precise control in hard-to-reach spots, an improved Lubrastrip for better lubrication, two blades paired with an Anti-Irritation Barrier to shield against ingrowns and bumps by smoothing skin and limiting blade pressure, and a flipped eject button for safer cartridge changes.
Isabel Pimentel, Brand Vice President, Gillette Venus Global & North America Female Grooming, stated, “The upgraded Venus Pubic Hair & Skin Collection directly addresses challenges with a razor that is uniquely engineered for hard-to-see areas and coarse hair on delicate skin.”
“It features a handle redesigned with a superior grip for precision and safety. Combined with our pre, during, and post-shave regimen to take care of her skin.”
According to the brand, the full routine follows a three-step process: Protect with a Smoothing Cleanser + Shave Gel to prep the area; Shave with the specialised razor, optimised for coarse hair and delicate skin; and Maintain with a Daily Ingrown Serum to soothe and prevent post-shave issues.
The portfolio reflects Gillette Venus’s 20+ years of female grooming expertise under Procter & Gamble’s 120-year legacy of precision innovation, serving 800 million consumers globally.
The global women’s intimate grooming care products market was valued at about USD 44.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 80.1 billion by 2035, at a CAGR of around 6%, according to a report by Global Market Insights.
The sector is growing rapidly due to rising hygiene awareness, destigmatization, and innovation in safe, premium products.
