CeraVe launches 24/7 hotline to tackle winter skin emergencies

CeraVe created it to empower users with practical tips for consistent body moisturization, defining a “Skincident” as any surprise dry skin mishap.

USA – CeraVe, the leading dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in the US, has launched a 24/7 “Skincident Hotline” to tackle the surge in winter-induced dry skin issues.

This innovative service provides expert, dermatologist-backed guidance to help consumers identify, report, and prevent unexpected dry skin “Skincidents” caused by freezing temperatures, harsh winds, and indoor heating.

The hotline addresses peak winter disruptions to the skin barrier, which can cause dry patches, flaking, and itching at inopportune times.

The service runs through February 27, 2026, and is accessible via a dedicated landing page or by dialling 844-SKINCIDENT (844-754-6243).

Dr. Dylan Greeney, board-certified dermatologist, stated, “Winter conditions can seriously compromise the skin barrier, making daily moisturization essential, not just when dryness appears.”

“Consistent use of a moisturizer like CeraVe can help keep the skin barrier intact and skin hydrated, so Skincidents don’t stand a chance.”

According to the brand, callers starting at 5:00 PM ET on launch day can select from interactive options: press 1 to report a personal Skincident story, press 2 for prevention advice from board-certified dermatologist Dr. Dylan Greeney, or press 3 to explore CeraVe’s dermatologist-developed moisturizers.

Live agents are on hand Monday-Friday, 5:00-8:00 PM ET; those reporting a Skincident during these hours may receive a full-size CeraVe body moisturizer while supplies last. Outside of live times, a 24/7 pre-recorded system still offers tips, stories, and product info.

Meanwhile, CeraVe has broadened its body care portfolio with the launch of Intensive Moisturizing Cream, a powerhouse formula that combats severe dryness, including itching, flaking, redness, and rough scaling, on both the face and body.

This cream contains 5% Hydro-Urea, a proprietary blend of natural moisturizing agents, along with shea butter, essential ceramides, and MVE Delivery Technology to deeply hydrate the skin’s layers, providing relief that lasts up to 72 hours while rebuilding the protective barrier.

Dermatologist-developed for all skin types, including sensitive and eczema-prone, it delivered clinically proven results: 96% improved radiance, 96-98% reduction in roughness and flaking, 99% less itch from dryness, and 59% stronger barrier after one week of twice-daily leg application, without clogging pores or causing irritation.
