The project extends Grasse’s craftsmanship globally through Givaudan’s expertise and scale.

FRANCE – Givaudan, a leading company in fragrance and beauty, has revealed plans to invest CHF 55 million in building “Campus 52,” a dedicated centre of excellence for its House of Naturals division in Grasse, France.
This project follows the company’s recent land purchase in the renowned perfumery hub and underscores its focus on advancing natural ingredient development.
The facility will integrate key areas like agronomy, innovation, operations, and perfumery to produce premium, differentiated natural fragrance materials using advanced extraction methods and sustainable sourcing practices.
“Campus 52” combines a production plant with an innovation lab, enabling seamless teamwork among scientists, partners, and perfumers.
Surrounded by gardens that connect field cultivation directly to fragrance creation, the site promotes sustainable innovation in a natural setting.
It aligns with Givaudan’s 2030 strategy for sustainable growth by offering high-value fragrance solutions rooted in Grasse’s centuries-old expertise.
CEO Gilles Andrier stated, “Located in the heart of Grasse, ‘Campus 52’ represents a return to our roots, where perfumery traditions, know‑how and craftsmanship have flourished for centuries.”
“This investment is fully aligned with Givaudan’s 2030 strategy, which aims to drive sustainable growth by creating high-value-added fragrance solutions that consumers love.”

This innovation expands creative options by bringing fruity gourmand profiles to personal care products such as shampoos.
Scentaurus™ PolyDoux delivers an exceptional, enduring fruity raspberry note paired with powdery sweet vanilla, ideal for modern fabrics and hair care.
Activated by oxygen, it slowly releases fragrant molecules in response to natural elements like air humidity, ensuring scents persist over multiple days and washes.
The precursor targets demands in activewear, sportswear, and fast-paced lifestyles, providing brightness and softness that withstand frequent use.
It integrates seamlessly with other Scentaurus™ ingredients for enhanced formulation flexibility in laundry detergents, fabric conditioners, and shampoos.
Jeremy Compton, Global Head of Science and Technology for Fragrances, noted that 86% of consumers seek sustained freshness on synthetic fabrics from the athleisure sector, positioning this launch to boost loyalty and align with Givaudan’s 2030 differentiated solutions strategy.
Developed via green chemistry principles, Givaudan’s proprietary FiveCarbon Path™, and a Safe-by-Design method, Scentaurus™ PolyDoux is biodegradable per OECD guidelines.
It supports the company’s ambition for a fully biodegradable fragrance palette by 2030, meeting consumer needs for eco-friendly, long-lasting performance.
