KENYA – Hanan Premium Products, a leading Kenyan FMCG player under Royal Converters Limited, has unveiled its much-anticipated single pack wipes.
According to the company, the launch responds to consumer calls for ultra-portable hygiene solutions in the fast-growing East African FMCG sector.
These pocket-sized sachets, each containing 15 alcohol-free, paraben-free sheets.
Established through Royal Converters’ manufacturing prowess in Nairobi, Hanan has built a 75-year legacy evolving from trading to premium hygiene innovations, focusing on local production for affordability and sustainability.
This launch builds on Hanan’s storied legacy of pioneering wet wipes in Kenya since around 2018. Rooted in Royal Converters’ 75-year manufacturing expertise, the company transitioned from general trading to premium personal care, emphasizing local production for sustainability—saving 22 million trees through recycled materials.
Early innovations include Sensitive Wipes, Antibacterial variants, Charcoal Wipes, Flushable Water Wipes, and specialized lines like Makeup Remover Wipes with micellar water, Bubble Gum, Lotion, and Jeans variants.
The single pack format addresses a key market gap: on-the-go convenience for busy lifestyles, from travel and work to “me-time” refreshers, makeup removal, or surface cleaning.
In Kenya’s baby wipes and diapers market, projected to grow steadily through 2031 amid rising hygiene awareness and e-commerce and supermarket expansion, Hanan strengthens its dominance.
The Middle East & Africa wet wipes sector, valued at USD 613 million in 2024 with a 5.43% CAGR to 2033, underscores the timing.
This positions Hanan strongly in Kenya’s expanding wipes segment, driven by supermarkets/online channels and hygiene awareness, reinforcing its dominance in sustainable personal care.
In a similar move, Poo~Pourri has unveiled its new Flushable Wipes, a premium bathroom product that promises reliable flushability alongside luxurious comfort.
The Dallas-based innovator, famous for revolutionizing toilet sprays since 2007, rolled out these wipes to enhance post-relief hygiene routines with style and safety.
Unlike many misleading “flushable” options that damage pipes, these meet rigorous International Water Services Flushability Group (IWSFG) testing for seamless breakdown like tissue paper.
Ditching clunky containers, the packaging delivers the brand’s whimsical flair, elegantly fitting atop any toilet tank and housing Cucumber Aloe (scented) or Unscented varieties in 50- or 150-count packs.
