Ajmal Perfumes expands UAE footprint with new store in Sharjah

The launch reinforces its dominance in the Middle Eastern perfume market amid high regional demand for oriental scents, oud, and custom blends.

UAE – Ajmal Perfumes, a UAE-based fragrance powerhouse, has marked a significant expansion in the UAE by opening its 71st store in Sharjah’s Al Shabha district.

Last year, the company opened the 70th store at Ajman Avenue, Humaidiya, showcasing Ajmal’s full range of over 1,000 products, from oriental perfumes, contemporary blends, concentrated oils, and rare oud creations.

Abdulla Ajmal, CEO of Ajmal Group, said: “Our 71st store is not merely a number; 75 years of trust reflect that the consumers across the UAE have placed their trust in Ajmal.”

“At Ajmal, we believe that a great fragrance should feel like a memory you haven’t made yet. Every store we open is an invitation to that experience.”

He added, “Our ambition is not just to grow, it is to deepen the craft, honour the heritage of Oud and oriental perfumery and ensure that artistry remains at the heart of everything we create.”

This follows decades of scaling, from 28 UAE outlets in 2015 to over 300 showrooms across the region today.

Founded as a family business 75 years ago, Ajmal operates in over 60 countries with hundreds of outlets worldwide.

Ajmal’s UAE push aligns with the USD 500 million local perfume market, where Gulf sales account for 70% of its USD 200+ million in revenues.

The family-run brand, founded by an Indian trader, blends traditional craftsmanship with modern retail innovations, such as experiential showrooms.

Plans include 100+ stores across GCC nations soon, as well as ventures into North America and Europe.

As a homegrown UAE success, Ajmal outpaces competitors by catering to five times the global average fragrance consumption in the region.

Its 2025 Ajman launch, promoted via OOH billboards, underscores sustained double-digit growth and investments in production facilities.

This positions Ajmal as a leader in sustainable, culturally resonant perfumery amid rising demand for luxury travel retail.

In a similar move, Hattan Perfumes has entered the UAE market with a visually captivating AI-generated video campaign launched on Instagram, crafted in partnership with Svyazi Creative Agency.

This 26-second cinematic piece masterfully narrates the brand’s story, from the initial bottle sketch to the final perfume drop, using advanced AI to deliver a premium aesthetic that captivates luxury fragrance lovers without traditional production costs.

The campaign has already achieved impressive results, including over 9,000 organic views and reaching more than 3,000 visitors at the Teeb Al Hazm fragrance exhibition in Abu Dhabi, showcasing AI’s power to enhance creativity and accelerate high-impact content creation.
