Givaudan introduces PrimalHyal NeuroYouth to combat neuro-ageing pathways

Givaudan Active Beauty identified this pathway, earning recognition at IFSCC 2025 for their research.

SWITZERLAND – Givaudan Active Beauty has launched PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth, a groundbreaking ingredient targeting neuroskin ageing to rejuvenate the skin’s sensory functions and overall youthfulness.

This complex combines low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid with amino acids to restore nerve fibres and improve neuronal signalling in ageing skin.

Skin acts as a sensory network beyond just a barrier, but ageing reduces nerve fibre numbers, length, and function, impairing sensation and cellular signalling and accelerating deterioration.

Romain Reynaud, R&D Director at Givaudan Active Beauty, stated, “Beyond aesthetics, PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth redefines skin ageing from a skin health perspective.”

“By addressing ‘Neuro Skin Ageing’, it offers new perspectives for the positioning of silver age, pre-juvenation and skin resilience concepts, where neurological health becomes a key pillar of youthful skin.”

PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth counters it by mimicking microneedling delivery, using hyaluronic acid to boost amino acid penetration and bioavailability in the skin.

Tests on over 120 volunteers showed PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth visibly cuts skin age by more than five years, smooths wrinkles and fine lines, boosts dermal tension and firmness, restores touch sensitivity equivalent to 30 years younger, and enhances positive skin sensations.

It increases nerve fibre count by 28% and length by 29%, promotes nerve growth factor activity, and revitalizes neuronal mitochondria for better energy and skin homeostasis.

These effects lead to healthier, more resilient skin that better interacts with its environment.

Givaudan unveils expanded fragrance hub in Turkey

Meanwhile, Givaudan has announced an expansion of its fragrance and beauty presence in Turkey, reinforcing its footprint in one of the most dynamic and promising markets for scented personal‑care and household products.

The upgraded office in Istanbul is positioned as a creative and commercial hub for Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty activities, designed to support both local customers and regional networks across Europe and beyond.

Turkey is highlighted as a key source of perfumery inspiration where traditional olfactive culture meets modern innovation, making it a strategic focus for co‑creation with brands.

Givaudan frames the expansion as a reflection of rising fragrance demand and its confidence in the country’s long‑term growth potential in the beauty and consumer‑products sectors.

The newly expanded office includes a dedicated application lab intended to accelerate trials and deliver faster, more tailored fragrance solutions for customers.

Alongside the existing washing room, the facility now features a new drying area, helping to streamline formulation and testing workflows.

A social and sensory space has also been created to host immersive sensory sessions, creative marketing discussions, and joint‑development projects with brand partners.

Givaudan describes these enhancements as a practical expression of its local‑and‑regional strategy, designed to build technical depth and speed‑to‑market across key fragrance categories.
