KENYA – Pwani Oil has appointed Antony Esyalai as a Non-Executive Board Advisory Member effective April 1, 2026, strengthening its leadership amid recent board transitions in Kenya’s competitive FMCG sector.
This strategic addition follows the March 2026 passing of board member Rajan Rameshchandra Malde, reflecting the company’s commitment to robust governance and growth.
Mr. Antony Esyalai, holding the MCIM credential, offers over 20 years of leadership in the FMCG industry across East, West, Central, and Southern Africa.

Esyalai’s pan-African market navigation and transformative campaign experience will guide Pwani Oil’s expansion in edible oils, home care, and personal care products.
This enhances the advisory board’s capacity to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and B2B strategies that are vital to stakeholders in the Middle East and African markets.
The appointment positions Pwani Oil, under the Malde family-led group, for resilience against past challenges like refinery issues while capitalizing on sustainability goals such as renewable energy targets.
