The merger signals accelerated tech adoption, reducing downtime and supporting sustainability via precise, adaptable systems.

ITALY -Tirelli and Unimac-Gherri have united their expertise within the Arol Group to deliver comprehensive end-to-end packaging solutions tailored for the home and personal care industries.
Both companies operate under the Arol Group umbrella, combining Tirelli’s specialization in filling, capping, and labelling systems for cosmetics, body care, and household products with Unimac-Gherri’s proficiency in filling and capping glass, metal, and plastic containers using twist-off and pre-threaded caps for dense and pasty products.
This collaboration enables turnkey lines that integrate upstream depalletizers, feeders, rinsers, fillers, cappers, labellers, and downstream palletizers for seamless production.
According to the companies, customers benefit from customized machines handling diverse viscosities, such as shampoos, lotions, liquid soaps, detergents, and corrosive cleaners.
Tirelli spokesperson stated, “With this move, Tirelli and Unimac‑Gherri open a new chapter of growth, built on integration, industrial solidity and a shared technological vision: a larger, more structured and better-organized company, designed to consolidate its global presence in key markets, accelerate investment in innovation, and provide customers with a single, even more reliable and competent partner — one capable of supporting them over time with complete solutions and a superior level of service,”
Tirelli, with over 40 years in cosmetics and home care packaging, has installed more than 5,580 machines across 118 countries, recently expanding through acquisitions such as KTF Engineering for corrosive product handling and BRB Globus for labelling.
Unimac-Gherri, formed in 2008 through a merger, excels in twist-off cap solutions for the food and chemical sectors and extends to personal care, boasting over 80% in export sales and full after-sales support.
Together, they address rising demands for efficient, high-speed lines in emerging markets.
This alliance strengthens Arol Group’s portfolio, offering bespoke end-to-end systems that boost efficiency, quality control, and global scalability for home and personal care brands.
It supports sustainability trends through precise, adaptable technologies for a range of container types and product formulations.
For B2B clients, it means reduced downtime and turnkey reliability in competitive FMCG sectors.
Currently, the global home and personal care packaging market is expanding rapidly, driven by sustainability, premiumization, and consumer demand for convenience.
Meanwhile, the personal care packaging market is forecasted to expand from USD 41.30 billion in 2026 to USD 71.57 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 6.3% from 2026 to 2035, according to a report by Towards Packaging.
