Aptar Beauty partners with Clarins on dual-chamber bottle for Double Serum Foundation
This product is a two-in-one solution designed to keep the formula’s colour and hydric phases separate until application.
FRANCE – Aptar has teamed up with Clarins to revolutionize hybrid beauty packaging with the launch of the Double Serum Hybrid Foundation.
The custom pack uses patented dual-chamber technology and progressive dosage control to deliver precise, adjustable coverage while preserving product stability and premium performance.
The launch follows the success of the Double Serum, introduced in 2024, and reflects the ongoing “skinification” trend, in which consumers increasingly want face makeup that also delivers treatment-like benefits.
At the centre of the product is a custom packaging system developed by Aptar Beauty, built around patented two-in-one dispensing technology and progressive dosage control.
The pack uses a double-chamber design with a thin wall that keeps the two formulas separate until application, then blends them at the moment of use for compatibility and performance.
The formula split is set at 70% colour cosmetic and 30% hydric system, giving the product its hybrid character while maintaining stability in the container.
According to Aptar the dispensing system is designed to support 37 shades and allow users to adjust coverage, from a small drop to a more intense “power shot,” through a rotating actuator.
The packaging also features premium, practical features for everyday use. It has a lockable, high-shine metallized actuator, a polypropylene overcap for on-the-go use, and a decorative finish with golden lacquering, a shiny red interior, and embossed branding.
In addition, full packaging contains at least 38% recycled material, with the bottle incorporating 95% recyclable materials.

Meanwhile, last year, Aptar Beauty partnered with Clarins to launch the ninth generation of their iconic Double Serum.
This collaboration combines Aptar’s expertise in advanced packaging engineering with Clarins’ celebrated skincare science to create a product that revolutionizes both its formula and delivery system.
The ninth Double Serum features a patented dual-chamber bottle design that carefully separates a hydric (water-based) serum from an outer lipidic (oil-based) serum chamber.
