Healthy Extracts completes USD 20M acquisition of Imaraïs Beauty

These moves reflect how global players are increasingly investing in wellness and functional beauty to meet consumer demand for holistic health and lifestyle products.

USA – Healthy Extracts, a vertically integrated Nutra & PharmaTech platform, has acquired Imaraïs Beauty, a women’s wellness brand co-owned by Sommer Ray and Aaron Hefter, in a USD 20 million deal, marking its entry into the beauty and personal care space.

The transaction is expected to lift the company’s 2026 annualized revenue run rate to about USD 24 million, with revenues projected to rise above USD 55 million in 2027.

The acquisition follows a recent manufacturing partnership between the two companies and is being presented as a strategic move that combines Healthy Extracts’ precision-dose delivery and nutraceutical capabilities with Imaraïs Beauty’s brand momentum.

Healthy Extracts said the deal is structured through a mix of equity consideration and the assumption of cash and company stock.

Healthy Extracts chairman and CEO, Don Swanson, stated, “We realized that by coming together as a team we could accelerate our expansion into the fast-growing beauty, wellness, and functional gummy sectors.”

“Together as one company, we are now strategically positioned to greatly boost our growth trajectory within this fast-growing USD 730 billion global market.”

Imaraïs Beauty already has retail distribution across major US chains, including Ulta Beauty, Target, Nordstrom and Sprouts Farmers Market, and it is preparing for a nationwide CVS rollout that would take it into more than 4,400 stores.

The brand is also sold in Canada and the UK, giving Healthy Extracts a broader platform for international growth.

Sommer Ray will remain involved as chief innovation officer, while Aaron Hefter will become chief branding officer of Healthy Extracts and continue as president of Imaraïs Beauty.

Hefter will keep overseeing brand strategy, retail expansion, influencer partnerships and product development, which suggests the company wants to preserve the brand’s existing identity while scaling it under a larger corporate structure.

Healthy Extracts expects the combination to accelerate product innovation and support further retail expansion as demand for functional beauty products grows.

According to the company, the acquisition is designed to build on consumer trust, celebrity reach and strong retail traction, creating a platform with more room for long-term growth.

In the past few months, major consumer goods companies have stepped up their involvement in wellness and functional beauty through strategic acquisitions and market entries.

Unilever recently acquired Grüns, strengthening its footprint in the wellness segment with products that align with daily health routines.

In India, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) expanded into the nutrition and wellness space by acquiring Oziva, a plant-based nutrition brand, and Wellbeing Nutrition, thereby further diversifying its portfolio into functional health solutions.

Meanwhile, TopGum, an Israeli gummy supplement manufacturer, entered the functional beauty market, positioning itself at the intersection of nutrition and cosmetics with ingestible beauty offerings.
