Symrise launches SYM ALPHA Think Tank to capture Generation Alpha market

Symrise tested SYM ALPHA™ throughout 2025 with key customers across strategic categories, following a successful pilot phase.

GERMANY – Symrise AG has introduced SYM ALPHA™ Think Tank, an innovative co-creation and insight platform exclusively for select partners within its Scent & Care Segment. 

This initiative empowers customers to convert Generation Alpha’s demands into tangible products and experiences with unmistakable consumer appeal, enabling a smoother transition from concept to market launch backed by robust early-stage validation. 

Generation Alpha, currently the world’s most populous generation, comprises approximately 2.5 billion individuals globally in 2026, ranging in age from 8 to 14 years old.

This cohort will fundamentally influence future consumption behaviors and brand anticipations. 

Through SYM ALPHA™, Symrise integrates this generational viewpoint directly into the innovation workflow by merging early validation, sensory collaboration, and behavioral analysis, allowing partners to craft solutions that genuinely connect with consumers and succeed commercially.

She leads customer innovation workshops and continues refining the SYM ALPHA™ generational insight framework, leveraging over two decades of expertise spanning health, wellness, ingredients, and branded innovation ecosystems.

The program produced actionable early-stage validation, reduced development timelines, and deepened existing partnerships with multiple clients.

Capitalizing on these achievements, Symrise is expanding SYM ALPHA™ in 2026 as a strategic capability for selected partners in its Scent & Care Segment. 

The Think Tank serves as a structured growth engine, enabling customers to integrate validated generational intelligence throughout their innovation process. SYM ALPHA™ Think Tank places customer and consumer value at the heart of every phase.

It assists partners in testing early-stage concepts with Generation Alpha, converting cultural and ritual insights into distinct innovation opportunities, and collaboratively creating compelling sensory experiences spanning fragrances, textures, and formats.
