Clorox Healthcare introduces contact disinfecting wipes

The launch is part of Clorox Healthcare’s broader effort to improve compliance, workflow efficiency, and surface compatibility in high-pressure clinical environments.

USA – Clorox Healthcare has introduced HyperOxi Disinfecting Wipes with Quanticare technology, a bleach-free sporicidal wipe designed for healthcare settings that need stronger infection-prevention support without the harshness of bleach.

The new HyperOxi wipe is built around Quanticare, which the company describes as a breakthrough sporicidal disinfectant technology.

It is positioned as a bleach-free alternative that helps healthcare teams address difficult pathogens, including C. difficile spores and Candida auris.

Alec Frisch, General Manager, CloroxPro, stated,  “With Clorox Healthcare Quat Alcohol Disinfecting Wipes and Clorox Healthcare HyperOxi Disinfecting Wipes, we’re delivering innovations designed for real-world compliance, helping teams meet required contact times without added steps or slowdowns, while providing options that make sporicidal disinfection more comfortable for everyday use.”

According to the company, Quanticare kills C. difficile spores in four minutes and can eliminate other pathogens, including C. auris, M. tuberculosis, and norovirus, in one minute or less.

In addition, the  non-bleach formula is designed to support frequent daily disinfection while reducing surface wear compared with harsher chemistries.

The company frames the launch as part of the response to hospital-acquired infection challenges, which it says remain costly and operationally demanding for healthcare systems.

The launch addresses a compliance gap in daily disinfection, where staff often struggle to keep surfaces wet long enough to meet required contact times.

The company also links the product to ongoing pressure from staffing shortages and rising microbial threats in healthcare environments.

The product was introduced alongside another innovation, Clorox Healthcare Quat Alcohol Disinfecting Wipes, but the HyperOxi line is the one tied to the new Quanticare technology.

These wipes will help facilities improve infection prevention while reducing extra labour tied to repeated wiping.

For Clorox, the HyperOxi launch expands its healthcare portfolio with a bleach-free sporicidal option that can be marketed to hospitals seeking stronger disinfection tools without relying only on traditional bleach products.

That gives the company another way to compete in the professional cleaning and infection-prevention market, where performance, safety, and ease of use all matter.

The launch also signals a closer link between Clorox Healthcare and technology provider Arxada, which announced the Quanticare platform and its rollout into Clorox Healthcare products.

The partnership gives Clorox a differentiated formulation to position in a crowded healthcare disinfectant category.
