GEKA, AXILONE collaborate on symbiosis bottle concept for beauty brands

The concept will be showcased at Luxe Pack Monaco.

FRANCE – GEKA, a leading provider of beauty application and packaging solutions, has partnered with Axilone, a leading luxury cosmetic packaging producer, to introduce Symbiosis, a premium bottle concept for prestige beauty brands.

The concept combines GEKA’s injection blow-molding technology with Axilone’s premium aluminum outer shell, creating packaging that showcases a product’s color and texture through see-through windows while delivering a luxurious tactile experience.

It offers extensive customization options, including matte, glossy, brushed, transparent, coloured, embossed, and debossed finishes, enabling brands to create distinctive packaging designs, while its use of low-carbon aluminum supports more sustainable packaging development.

The collaboration brings together GEKA’s expertise in high-precision beauty applications and protected molding technology with Axilone’s capabilities in aluminum transformation, decoration, and assembly, resulting in a packaging solution that combines design, functionality, sensory appeal, and sustainability.

According to the companies, visitors to Luxe Pack Monaco will be able to explore Symbiosis and its design possibilities, while GEKA is developing a next-generation version with an even stronger sustainability focus, to be unveiled at Cosmopack Bologna in 2027.

Founded in 1925, GEKA manufactures high-precision applicators for mascara, lip gloss, concealer, and beauty accessories, with expertise in beauty tools, twisted-wire brushes, and microbrush technologies; as part of medmix, it provides global access through production sites in Bechhofen, Germany, Elgin in the United States, São Paulo, Brazil, and Shanghai, China.

Axilone produces luxury metal and plastic packaging for skincare, fragrance, and color cosmetics, including lipsticks, lip glosses, caps, collars, jars, compacts, and mascara shells, and operates industrial facilities in France, Spain, and China.

Meanwhile, last year, 2025, GEKA expanded its global footprint with a strategic investment in its Brazilian facility, marking a significant step in boosting both production capacity and innovation in the beauty industry.

After a decade of successful operations in Brazil, GEKA officially opened a second unit in São Paulo.

This expansion doubled the facility’s size and is designed to meet the growing market demands in Latin America, particularly in Brazil.

According to GEKA, the new building increases production capacity by 25% by adding an upper-part assembly line, an injection molding machine, and an injection blow molding machine.
