JAPAN – Kao has named Laura Hogan as Chief Marketing Officer of Molton Brown, its iconic British fragrance, bath, and body brand within the company’s Cosmetics division.
In her new role, Hogan will be responsible for guiding Molton Brown’s global brand vision, market positioning, and integrated marketing strategy.
Her mandate will be to strengthen the brand’s profile in international markets and support its continued global expansion.
Mark Johnson, President of Molton Brown Global, described Hogan, stating, “Laura is an exceptional brand leader with a proven track record of driving growth for leading prestige beauty brands.”
“She brings a powerful combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen and creative excellence, alongside deep experience in building brands across international markets.”
Hogan joins Molton Brown after nine years with The Estée Lauder Companies, where she held a variety of senior marketing and brand leadership positions across several luxury beauty brands.
Most recently, she served as Brand General Manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland at Le Labo, Kilian Paris, and Frédéric Malle, helping these brands achieve further growth and expand their distribution networks.
Before that, Hogan held senior global marketing positions at Jo Malone London, where she played an important role in the internationally recognised campaign featuring actor Tom Hardy as a brand ambassador.
Her international experience covers the UK, United States, and Middle East, and includes work supporting the development and growth of prominent beauty brands such as Tom Ford Beauty, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, and ELEMIS.
Commenting on her appointment, Hogan said she was pleased to join Molton Brown at an exciting stage in the company’s development.
She highlighted the brand’s combination of heritage, craftsmanship, and distinctive identity, noting that these qualities had established Molton Brown as one of the world’s leading luxury fragrance, bath, and body brands.
Hogan’s appointment highlights Kao’s continued investment in Molton Brown, which is one of six strategic focus brands supporting the company’s global Cosmetics growth strategy, alongside Curél and SENSAI.
