Givaudan secures active ingredient gold in Brazil for PrimalHyal NeuroYouth

This distinction demonstrates how PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth is inspiring next-generation skincare concepts, capturing the attention of industry experts, and creating new opportunities for brands seeking differentiated, science-backed innovation.

BRAZIL – Givaudan Active Beauty’s PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth has received its eighth major industry recognition, winning the Gold Best Ingredient Award in the Active category at in-cosmetics LATAM 2026.

The latest accolade confirms strong industry enthusiasm for this next-generation ingredient, which addresses one of the most emerging areas of skin longevity science: the connection between neuroageing and visible skin ageing.

Since its launch, PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth has earned remarkable recognition in global beauty markets, winning awards from leading industry organisations.

These include the Gold Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics LATAM, the Silver Green Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Global, the K-Beauty Standout Award and the Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Korea, China’s Ringier Technology Innovation Award, the BSB Innovation Award in the Actives Category for skin rejuvenation and well-ageing, the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ Best Active Ingredient Award, and the Emerging Ingredient Award at Cosmohome Tech Expo India.

This unprecedented series of awards highlights the ingredient’s ability to resonate with brands and scientific experts worldwide.

Mathias Fleury, Head of Actives at Givaudan Active Beauty, said, “The growing international recognition of PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth across Europe, Asia, Oceania and Latin America highlights its position as one of the most awarded cosmetic active ingredients of recent years, confirming Givaudan Active Beauty’s commitment to breakthrough scientific innovation.”

Beyond industry recognition, the science underpinning PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth has also gained attention from the global cosmetic science community.

At the 2025 IFSCC Congress, Givaudan Active Beauty’s research, “The Ageing Process: Unravelling the Connection Between Neuroageing and Skin Sensitivity,” was ranked among the Top 10 podium presentations of the event.

Building on this momentum, Givaudan Active Beauty will take part in this year’s IFSCC Congress in Australia to present the latest findings from this pioneering research into Neuro Skin Ageing.

Backed by cutting-edge research, PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth targets a newly identified ageing pathway linked to the decline of skin nerve fibres and neuronal communication.

Clinical studies involving more than 120 volunteers demonstrated significant benefits. These included a reduction in apparent skin age by over five years, visible wrinkle reduction, improved skin firmness, and restored touch perception to levels associated with skin up to 30 years younger.

The combination of breakthrough scientific research, proven clinical efficacy, and eight prestigious international awards shows that PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth is more than a successful ingredient launch.

It represents a new benchmark for innovation in beauty, where scientific excellence, measurable performance, and market relevance converge.

As momentum builds around PrimalHyal™ NeuroYouth, its influence is already extending beyond the ingredient itself. Leveraging its pioneering Neuro Skin Ageing approach, Givaudan Active Beauty developed the S3D® ReSense concept, which recently received a BSB Innovation Award.
