Skin Filter fits standard single-lever bathroom taps.

UK – British water filtration company Hello Klean is expanding its water-filtration portfolio into the bathroom sink with the launch of Skin Filter, a smart tap attachment designed to support facial cleansing.
The device combines multi-stage water filtration with microbubble technology.
The system also monitors water consumption and alerts users when the filter needs replacing.
Hello Klean describes Skin Filter as its most advanced filtration product so far. It is also the company’s first major launch since BRITA Group made a strategic investment in the business in March.
BRITA acquired a minority stake in Hello Klean and has the option to increase its investment to a majority holding in the future.
The deal was BRITA’s first investment in the beauty and personal care sector.
The partnership supports Hello Klean’s broader ambition to establish water as a distinct category within the beauty and personal care market.
Karlee Zhang, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Hello Klean, stated, “We were hearing from customers who had resorted to washing their face with bottled water because of the negative impact they felt their tap water was having on their skin.”
“We look at what’s in our skincare, yet barely think about what we use to wash it on and off,” she added.
According to Hello Klean, Skin Filter can inhibit up to 92% of scale. It can also reduce lead and free chlorine by up to 98%.
The product uses a scale-inhibiting system that encapsulates minerals in the water. A titanium-based filtration medium captures lead ions and replaces them with sodium ions.
Skin Filter also includes a microbubble setting based on the Venturi principle. This process introduces very small bubbles into the water stream.
According to Hello Klean, the microbubbles increase contact between the water and the skin.
The technology may also help loosen sebum, SPF, makeup residue and other everyday build-up. These substances can then be rinsed away more easily.
The attachment connects to the Hello Klean app. Through the app, users can track their water consumption and monitor the remaining life of the filter.
An integrated SmartRefill light also indicates when the filter needs to be changed.
The system follows the launch of Shower Head+ in April, which uses similar water-consumption tracking to notify users when a replacement filter is required.
