Bath & Body Works names Daniel Heaf as new CEO

Heaf will also join the Board of Directors after the conclusion of the company’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

USA – Bath & Body Works,  an American speciality retail company in personal care and home fragrance, has appointed Daniel Heaf as the new Chief Executive Officer(CEO), effective immediately, following a unanimous decision by the company’s independent directors. 

According to the company, Heaf will also join the Board of Directors after the conclusion of the company’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

Heaf, a seasoned executive with a background in global consumer brands, takes over from Gina Boswell, who stepped down from her role.

Sarah Nash, Chair of the Board, stated, “Through a strategic search, the Board recognized a rare and exciting opportunity to bring on Daniel as the next CEO of Bath & Body Works.”

“Daniel, his leadership team, and the Board will partner closely to develop a forward-looking strategy that honours the company’s legacy while embracing bold, necessary transformation to meet consumers where they are.”

Daniel Heaf brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Nike, where he served as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. 

Before that, he led Nike Direct, overseeing 45,000 employees and 9,000 stores across 41 countries.

His leadership was instrumental in doubling Nike Direct’s business to $22.3 billion in five years. Before joining Nike, Heaf played a key role in Burberry’s digital evolution as Senior Vice President of Digital and Customer Experience.

Alongside the leadership announcement, Bath & Body Works has released preliminary results for the first quarter ended May 3, 2025. 

Net sales rose 3% year-over-year to USD 1.42 billion, with earnings per diluted share reaching USD 0.49, surpassing the company’s guidance range. 

The retailer reaffirmed its full-year 2025 outlook, projecting net sales growth of 1% to 3% and earnings per share between USD 3.25 and USD 3.60, while noting the guidance factors in an initial 10% tariff on imports from China.

Recently, Bath & Body Works expanded its hand sanitizer product offerings, reintroducing the highly requested full-size gel bottle alongside the PocketBac and one-ounce spray formats.

With 145 high-quality fragrances, these sanitizers are infused with aloe, shea extract, and Vitamin E, ensuring both effective cleansing and skin conditioning.
