Neopac appoints Bernd Steiner as CSO

Steiner brings over three decades of expertise in the plastics and packaging sectors.

SWITZERLAND – Neopac, a Swiss-based packaging company, has nominated Bernd Steiner as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and member of the Executive Management Team, effective August 18, 2025.

In his new role, Steiner will lead the planning and oversight of Neopac’s international sales strategy and operations, including identifying new market opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.

Steiner takes over the role from Martina Christiansen, who is set to retire in Spring 2026.

Over her 16-year tenure as Sales Director, Martina has played a pivotal role in expanding Neopac’s footprint across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Manfred Zurkirch, CEO of Neopac Group, stated, “We look forward to working with Bernd, whose global perspective and strategic leadership will help elevate our sales organization to new levels.”

“At the same time, we would like to extend our deep appreciation to Martina Christiansen for her invaluable contributions and years of dedicated service.”

Steiner brings over three decades of expertise in the plastics and packaging sectors, with a proven track record of driving global sales, spearheading business growth, and delivering customer-centric strategies.

Neopac offers a diverse portfolio that caters to pharmaceutical, cosmetic, oral care, and animal health sectors.

Its flagship offerings include Polyfoil® tubes with superior barrier properties and recyclable options like Polyfoil® MMB and fibre-based PaperX.

In addition, the company designs tubes with integrated applicators, child-resistant features, and digital printing for brand differentiation.

Meanwhile, Neopac recently received two prestigious Tube of the Year Awards from the USA Tube Council for its Polyfoil® tube used for Voltaren Arthritis Pain Relief Gel.

The tube is produced on a newly commissioned line at Neopac’s USA facility.

The awards include the Tube of the Year Gold Medal in the Pharmaceutical Category and the highest overall honour, the Michael Hoard 2025 Tube of the Year.

The tube’s ergonomic design, featuring a recessed grip flip-top cap, is a clear demonstration of Neopac’s consideration for diverse user needs.

The tube not only minimises material use but also maintains excellent product protection and flexibility by using a reduced 0.35mm aluminium barrier to laminate wall thickness.

The product aligns with Neopac’s commitment to patient-centred and sustainable packaging design.
