Circadia taps into Kenya’s booming USD 2.4B beauty market

Cicadia is set to offer advanced products tailored for melanin-rich skin.

KENYA – Circadia, an American skincare brand known for its science-driven, chronobiology-inspired formulations, has officially entered Kenya’s rapidly growing beauty market, valued at over USD 2.4 billion.

This strategic move is marked by a partnership with Uglow Aesthetics, a leading Nairobi-based skin clinic that now serves as Circadia’s exclusive distributor in Kenya.

The collaboration enables licensed aestheticians and consumers to access Circadia’s advanced products, tailored specifically to address the unique challenges of melanin-rich skin.

The brand has already been in clinical use locally for over eight months, earning recognition for its effective treatment of hyperpigmentation and skin sensitivity.

Uglow Aesthetics CEO Jean Kinuthia described the partnership as a milestone, stating, “This partnership means that skincare professionals and consumers alike now have access to advanced products specifically developed with African skin in mind.”

Circadia’s presence in Kenya comes amid a booming beauty sector fueled by a rising middle class, urbanization, and a growing preference for natural ingredients and digital distribution models.

According to a report published by Statista, Kenya’s beauty and personal care market is projected to generate USD 2.44 billion in revenue in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.01% through 2030.

Circadia managing director Jitin Jaggi stated, “Kenya’s aesthetic industry is rapidly growing, and we see incredible potential to contribute meaningfully.”

“Circadia is here to champion the professionals behind every skincare journey—by offering science-based products that truly transform skin, especially for melanin-rich tones.”

Founded in 2001 by Dr. Peter T. Pugliese, Circadia leverages over forty years of research to develop products that protect skin during the day and promote repair at night, delivering transformative results particularly suited to African skin tones.

Beyond product availability, Circadia is committed to supporting local skincare professionals through training and education, raising industry standards and encouraging tailored solutions.

This entry into Kenya’s flourishing beauty market not only signifies confidence in the region’s potential but also promises to drive innovation and elevate professional care for diverse consumer needs.

Circadia offers professional-grade skincare products designed to support the skin’s natural circadian rhythms, including cleansers, serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, and targeted treatments for ageing, acne, pigmentation, and sensitivity.
