Boots set to unveil fragrance store in London

Boots Fragrance aims to position the retailer as a key player in the UK’s thriving fragrance industry by championing both heritage brands and modern, innovative perfumery under one roof.

UK – Boots, the UK’s leading health and beauty retailer, is set to open its first-ever “first-of-its-kind” fragrance-only boutique, called Boots Fragrance, in London this autumn 2025.

The store is situated in Broadgate Central, London.

The 2,150-square-foot boutique will showcase a curated collection of over 400 luxury and niche scents, including UK-exclusive perfumes and more than 20 brands new to Boots, such as Hermès and Guerlain, alongside emerging British founder-led and international niche labels.

Designed to provide a sensory-led retail experience, the boutique will feature trend-led discovery zones and immersive experiences, inviting customers to engage with fragrance in novel ways.

According to Boots, a team of expert fragrance specialists, trained in scent profiling and fragrance matching, will offer personalized consultations, supported by premium concierge services and luxury gift-wrapping options.

Chelsey Saunders, Director of Fragrance at Boots, stated, “Boots Fragrance boutique represents a bold step forward in how we bring fragrance to our customers.”

“As the nation’s favourite beauty retailer, we’re proud to be creating a space that not only showcases the very best in luxury and niche perfumery, but also makes it more accessible, inviting and inspiring for all.”

The launch aligns with a robust UK fragrance market, which was valued at £1.74 billion (approximately USD 2.34 billion) in 2024 and is projected to exceed £2 billion (USD 2.68 billion) by 2029, according to a report published by Statista.

The revenue in 2025 is estimated at USD 2.19 billion, with modest annual growth.

Meanwhile, Boots recently unveiled an initiative aimed at enhancing dermatological expertise among its pharmacists, in partnership with L’Oréal Groupe and renowned consultant dermatologist Dr. Justine Hextall.

According to the company, the training has been approved by the British Association of Dermatologists.

The training is set to cover a wide range of dermatological concerns, including acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation.

In addition, the pharmacists will gain insights into melanoma detection, skin structure, microbiome health, and scalp conditions, ensuring they can provide informed guidance to customers seeking skincare advice.
