USA – Kim Kardashian has officially closed her standalone beauty brand, SKKN By Kim, in mid-2025 as part of a deliberate consolidation strategy to bring all her beauty ventures under the umbrella of her lifestyle brand, SKIMS.
SKKN By Kim was launched in 2022 as a high-performance, clean skincare and makeup line developed in collaboration with Coty.
However, by early 2025, Kim Kardashian reacquired Coty’s 20% minority stake, and SKIMS took over the majority stake, effectively integrating the beauty brand into her broader lifestyle empire.
This consolidation reflects Kim Kardashian’s strategic pivot toward creating a unified, holistic lifestyle brand that combines fashion, shapewear, beauty, skincare, and personal care products. SKIMS, initially known for shapewear, has grown tremendously and is valued at around $4 billion with strong revenue growth.
Integrating SKKN By Kim presents an opportunity to streamline brand operations and marketing while leveraging SKIMS’ existing customer base to support an expanded product portfolio that now includes skincare and cosmetics.
The consolidated SKIMS brand aims to launch a comprehensive beauty line, possibly by 2026, positioning itself to compete with established luxury beauty groups by offering a seamless consumer experience across apparel and beauty categories.

Before SKKN By Kim, Kim Kardashian launched KKW Beauty in 2017, which included makeup products famous for contouring and also expanded into fragrances through KKW Fragrance.
Both KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance were shuttered before the launch of SKKN By Kim, with Kardashian expressing intent to relaunch beauty offerings with more innovative formulas and sustainable packaging.
The closure of SKKN by Kim and its absorption into SKIMS signals a strategic streamlining of her brand portfolio, focusing on brand unity and scaling SKIMS as a lifestyle powerhouse that covers fashion, beauty, and wellness.
