Panasonic partners with Alessa to expand its major appliance presence across Saudi Arabia

This strategic alliance highlights Panasonic’s dedication to delivering innovative, sustainable home appliance solutions tailored to the evolving lifestyles of Saudi families.

SAUDI ARABIA – Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF) and Alessa (Hamad A. Alessa and Sons Co.) have announced a strategic partnership to expand Panasonic’s significant appliance presence across Saudi Arabia. 

The partnership, officially revealed at a press conference in Jeddah, aligns with their joint vision to deliver premium Japanese innovation and reliable home solutions to consumers throughout the Kingdom.

Since May of this year, Alessa has served as Panasonic’s official distributor for major appliances, including refrigerators, washer-dryers, and air conditioning systems. 

This collaboration leverages Alessa’s extensive market reach and local expertise to improve product availability and service quality, ensuring Saudi consumers have access to Panasonic’s latest energy-efficient and reliable home technologies.

John Hardy, COO of PMMAF, emphasized that combining Panasonic’s advanced Japanese technology with Alessa’s distribution strengths will enable the delivery of smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable solutions to elevate everyday life in Saudi Arabia.

He reiterated Panasonic’s commitment to the local market with a focus on authentic quality and sustainable innovation guided by their mission to “Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow.”

Abdullah Alshmassi, Chairman of Alessa, emphasised the partnership, stating, “Our partnership with Panasonic represents a milestone in Alessa’s journey of bringing world-class brands and solutions to Saudi households.”

“For decades, Alessa has been committed to delivering trusted home solutions to our customers, and this collaboration allows us to combine that legacy with Panasonic’s global innovation leadership.”

He added, “Together, we will continue to enhance consumer experiences and strengthen our contribution to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.”

This partnership is part of Panasonic’s broader growth strategy in the Middle East and Africa, emphasizing sustainability, customer-centric innovation, and deeper local engagement. 

A recent milestone in this strategy is the opening of Panasonic’s new branch office in Riyadh, bringing the brand closer to its customers and enabling enhanced support and value creation tailored to Saudi consumer needs.

During the announcement event, Panasonic showcased its latest innovations, such as air conditioners with nanoe™ X technology for healthier indoor environments, premium refrigerators with Nutri Tafreez and Prime Fresh technologies, and washer-dryers featuring a dedicated Thoub and Abaya Wash function designed specifically for the Gulf region’s needs.
