Iberchem expands product portfolio with launch of Vernova Pure Pro

SPAIN – Iberchem has launched Vernova®Pure Pro, a next-generation biodegradable malodour-neutralising fragrance technology that represents a significant advance over its predecessor, Vernova®Pure. 

This enhanced solution offers superior odour control, improved integration with fragrances, and greater creative flexibility for perfumers. 

Vernova®Pure Pro’s technology is embedded in Iberchem’s new digital creation platform, O-DOOR®, which combines the active Vernova®Pure Pro molecule with targeted neutralising and blocking agents. 

This multi-layered system enhances the precision of malodour detection and elimination, enabling the development of more effective and sophisticated fragrance solutions tailored to various applications.

According to the company, this product builds on the biodegradable credentials of the original Vernova®Pure, which degrades by at least 60% within 28 days according to OECD standards, minimizing environmental impact.

The O-DOOR® platform’s data-driven tools support precise formulation, making Vernova®Pure Pro a versatile and impactful tool for creating sustainable, high-performance fragrances in line with modern consumer and regulatory expectations.

This comes after Iberchem recently introduced Vernova®Caps+, an enhanced version of its biodegradable fragrance microcapsules. 

This product builds upon the original VernovaCaps technology launched in 2022, offering significant biodegradability, performance, and stability advancements. 

The new microcapsules are designed for use in fabric softeners and liquid detergents, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional non-biodegradable options.

The new VernovaCaps+ microcapsules have a polymer wall that shows significantly improved biodegradability, surpassing the OECD 301 testing requirement of 60%. 

The capsules achieve a 90% biodegradability rate within 28 days, an increase from the 80% rate of the initial VernovaCaps launch.
