The launch aimed at strengthening its foothold in the Middle East and broader MEA markets just ahead of the 2026 Ramadan season.

UAE – Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF) has broadened its regional presence with the launch of three new garment‑steamer models, NI‑GWF250, NI‑GWG085, and NI‑FS780.
The move upgrades PMMAF’s home‑care portfolio from standalone irons to a more diversified garment‑care ecosystem, targeting different income segments with a premium upright steamer, a dual‑board design, and a 2‑in‑1 handheld‑with‑soleplate unit.
Takashi Sasaki, Director of Consumer Marketing at Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa, stated, “Panasonic has always focused on understanding the lifestyle needs of our consumers, and we are proud to introduce innovative solutions that combine performance, convenience, and fabric care; especially with features tailored for garments that are central to everyday use in the Middle East.”
“This launch reinforces our commitment to delivering premium, thoughtfully engineered products that simplify daily life.”
The NI‑GWF250 stands out as a high‑end upright model, featuring an expandable hanger and hijab‑specific clips engineered for abayas, kaftans, and other delicate fabrics common in the region, while delivering strong steam output for wrinkle removal and fabric sanitization suited to larger households or light professional use.
Sitting in the mid‑tier, the NI‑GWG085 introduces a dual‑board layout that allows more flexible garment placement, appealing to space‑conscious users who need to handle multiple pieces efficiently without stepping up to a premium‑tier price.
At the entry‑to‑mid level, the NI‑FS780 combines a handheld steamer with an integrated soleplate, giving consumers the option to quickly refresh garments on the go or switch to traditional flat‑surface ironing, a setup that resonates with younger, urban, and compact‑living‑space consumers.
Strategically, the Ramadan‑linked rollout underscores how Japanese brands are tailoring product launches around key regional holidays, using garment‑care demand during festive and religious periods to drive trial and brand loyalty.
By embedding local wardrobe needs, such as abaya and hijab care, into core product design, PMMAF is positioning itself as a more culturally attuned player in the home‑appliance space, while also reinforcing its broader push to deepen MEA penetration across consumer electronics and home‑care categories.
Last year, PMMAF introduced its latest garment care innovation, the NI-GWG090GTH Garment Steamer.
