Beetles Gel Polish introduces glass and plastic recovery initiative
The initiative is set to expand to additional states and cities, allowing more people to join as the program grows.
USA – Beetles Gel Polish has unveiled the Beetles Loves Earth Free Recycling Program in partnership with TerraCycle to recycle dry, empty glass gel polish and nail polish bottles from any brand, together with their plastic caps.
The initiative is intended to reduce the waste burden created by nail empties and encourage the nail community to take shared responsibility for what happens after a bottle is finished.
The company says most gel polish and nail polish bottles are not accepted in standard curbside recycling because they often contain residue, require extensive cleaning and can cost more to process than the recovered material is worth.
As a result, many consumers are left with empty bottles and little practical guidance on how to dispose of them responsibly.
Through this recycling scheme, accepted bottles and caps will be turned into raw materials for new products.
The glass portion can be processed into materials used in construction applications such as bricks, cement and concrete, giving the packaging a second life beyond its original use.
Consumers and nail professionals can review the recycling rules on Beetles Gel Polish’s campaign page and bring eligible dry, empty glass gel polish and nail polish bottles, plus their associated plastic caps, to designated Beetles Loves Earth drop-off locations.
The company also plans to roll out a mail-in option to make participation easier for people in rural and remote areas.
To encourage participation, Beetles Gel Polish will offer tiered rewards based on the number of bottles returned.
These incentives include products, coupons and limited-edition gift boxes.
The program is open to a wide range of participants, including at-home users, salon owners, nail artists, creators, sustainability advocates, school clubs, local organizers, shop owners and other nail brands.
Supporters who want to host a collection bin can complete a participation form and become a Beetles Love Earth Recycling Ambassador, helping extend the program into local communities.
According to Beetles Gel Polish, the initiative reflects its broader commitment to more responsible beauty practices and packaging.
The brand positions the program as an effort to keep nail-related waste out of landfills and to make recycling more accessible for everyday users.
The company also says it aims to change the mindset around empty nail bottles by showing that beauty routines can extend into more responsible end-of-life packaging management.
