Pampers reformulates Swaddlers diapers to eliminate fragrances

This move reflects changing parent preferences while keeping the same trusted protection, comfort and performance families expect.

USA – Pampers, the leading diaper brand in the U.S., announced that every size of its Swaddlers line is now completely fragrance-free, a change made to reflect growing parent demand for scent-free baby products while preserving the same protection, comfort and performance families expect.

Long valued for softness, dryness and dependable leak protection, Pampers Swaddlers already met strict safety and ingredient standards, evidenced by the fragrance-free NICU diapers, and removing fragrance across all sizes reinforces the brand’s commitment to respond to parents’ needs.

Although fragrance has been eliminated, the diaper’s core technology for odour management and all other attributes remain intact; Pampers Swaddlers continue to be hypoallergenic and free from elemental chlorine, parabens and natural rubber latex, and they still deliver the same absorbency, dryness, leak protection and softness.

Laura Vicenti, senior vice president of Baby Care at Procter & Gamble, said, “Parents have always been at the centre of every decision we make.”

“As their preferences continue to evolve, we’re updating Pampers Swaddlers to be fragrance-free while maintaining the trusted protection, performance and comfort families rely on.”

“This change reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to parents and delivering products that meet their needs without compromise,” Laura added.

The fragrance-free Swaddlers are available nationwide in the U.S. and in select international markets such as Canada and Puerto Rico; during the packaging transition, some boxes may still reference fragrance, and customers can contact Pampers customer care with lot codes for confirmation.

Pampers emphasizes that every Pampers Swaddlers diaper now produced is fragrance-free, that performance is unchanged, and that the brand remains dermatologist-tested, paediatrician-recommended, and compliant with relevant safety standards.

For more than 60 years, Pampers has served parents worldwide, providing diapers, wipes and training pants for every stage.

This move comes shortly after  Pampers recently introduced the world’s smallest diaper, the Swaddlers size “Preemie extra extra small” (Pxxs).

This product is designed specifically to support the needs of extremely premature babies born as early as 21-22 weeks of gestation or weighing less than 500 grams.

It is the fourth and smallest diaper in Pampers’ Preemie Collection, designed uniquely for babies weighing under 500 grams.
