This initiative underscores the brand’s dedication to minimizing plastic waste while delivering premium, eco-conscious cleaning solutions.

USA – Clean Cult has strengthened its sustainable home care lineup through a significant multi-category expansion, introducing new scents in paper-based packaging.
Clean Cult launched fresh citrus, floral, and herbaceous fragrances across its laundry detergent, dish soap, and hand soap categories, the company’s most ambitious scent rollout yet.
Packaged in innovative paper cartons, these products reduce plastic use by up to 90% compared to conventional options.
According to the brand, the formulations avoid harmful chemicals like dyes, phosphates, SLS, 1,4-dioxane, phthalates, and parabens, ensuring they are safe, biodegradable, and effective.
CEO and co-founder Ryan Lupberger noted that today’s consumers expect more than just clean results; they want enjoyable scents, ethical ingredients, and packaging that fights plastic pollution.
Ryan stated that this expansion seamlessly integrates those elements to meet rising market demands.
The updated lineup is available on Amazon, building on Clean Cult’s footprint in key U.S. retailers, including Whole Foods, Target, and Costco.
According to Grand View Research, the U.S. laundry care market was valued at about USD 24.9 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.2% through 2030, with sustainability being a major driver of innovation and consumer demand. Eco-friendly detergents, refillable packaging, and plant-based formulations are gaining traction as consumers increasingly prioritize environmental impact.
Recent milestones, such as refillable systems at Whole Foods, signal the brand’s rapid mainstream growth, reinforced by its Certified Plastic Neutral status and plastic recovery programs.
This collaboration brought Clean Cult’s innovative packaging refillable aluminium bottles and recyclable, paper-based carton refills, into select Whole Foods locations, making sustainable choices more accessible to environmentally conscious shoppers.
In addition, early this year, Costco expanded its product lineup by introducing an exclusive Clean Cult 180-sheet value pack of laundry detergent sheets, poised to disrupt the laundry products category with a sustainable alternative.
Since 2019, Clean Cult’s partnership with rePurpose Global has certified it Plastic Neutral, measuring its footprint and funding equivalent waste recovery from landfills and oceans at USD 0.50 per kg, while prioritizing reusable paper cartons and refills.
