Masodi Beauty expands footprint across South Africa via Foschini partnership

The company offers a wide range of hair and scalp care products designed to treat issues like hair loss, breakage, dryness, and styling needs.

SOUTH AFRICA – Masodi Beauty, a South African hair care brand, has expanded its retail footprint through The Foschini Group (TFG), a leading South African diversified retail group.

This move makes the company’s hair and scalp-care range available through the group’s beauty channels, Bash, Foschini and The Beauty Box.

The range includes targeted products designed to address common hair and scalp concerns, including dryness, dandruff, irritation, breakage, thinning and hairline weakness.

Products listed through Bash include the Masodi Tri-Active Bamboo Charcoal Shampoo, Scalp Detox Mask, Hairline Fortifying Serum, All-In-One Hair Oil and Root Stimulating Serum.

The expansion gives Masodi Beauty access to a wider retail and online customer base while placing its specialised hair and scalp-care products alongside established beauty offerings.

The brand’s products are also sold through its own online store and selected retailers, including Clicks stores in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.

This move comes shortly after Mosodi Beauty’s recent Dis-Chem launch, as well as Clicks Group store expansion.

Their portfolio includes oils, serums, shampoos, masks, conditioners, and styling gels, with both traditional and Minoxidil-based formulations.

In a similar move, fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee is expanding his brand ecosystem into fine fragrances, with the collection launched through TFG and made available via Beauty Box.

The move gives the designer’s luxury label a new retail platform while bringing his fragrance offering closer to consumers who already shop within TFG’s beauty channels.

The collection features six eau de parfums, including Gimme Gimme, Eau de Trouble, Rumours & Roses, Top Secret, Shhhh… and Uncontainable, each available in 50ml and 100ml bottles.

The range moves from sweet and playful notes of sugar, amber and musk to bolder compositions featuring rose, oud, saffron, leather, vanilla, sandalwood and cedarwood, with Uncontainable delivering a fearless blend of cardamom, fig, iris, musk, amber and leather.

The launch builds on Coetzee’s existing relationship with fragrance. He previously introduced Double Platinum Eau de Parfum in 2020, followed by Marigold in 2021, making the TFG and Beauty Box launch an expansion of an established category rather than his first entry into the fragrance business.
